Dec 17, 2015 Two of my favorite moments for sure. 1. The monster video Seeing the flashbacks was crazy. The last scene where he walked away from Slim Shady but still took the notes (probably suggestions for lyrics )was powerful. Also these lines : Take it back to the days that, I get on a Dre track, Give every kid who got played that Pumped up feelin' and s--- to say back. 2. Guts over fear The legend of the angry blonde lives on through you when I'm gone and to think that I was a (fraid).. Dem feels What was yours ?
Dec 17, 2015 Very specific amount of moments. Why 2? Can it be more than 2? And are we strict about 2 years, meaning MMLP2 doesn't count because it's 2 years and 2 months old? If MMLP2 counts, nothing beats hearing Bad Guy for the first time. Medicine Man verse was also powerful to hear for the first time, and the ghost part still gives goosebumps. I loved those two moments you mentioned as well. Other than that, I can't think of anything "powerful", but Best Friend verse was good, most of ShadyXV was good (especially liked Vegas) and Kings Never Die is worth a mention.
Dec 17, 2015 True, totally forgot about Bad guy Medicine Man and Best friend. I guess I picked that line in The monster because it was visualized in the video. Of course it can be more than 2 moments. Guts over fear and the last verse of the Monster brought up some nostalgia, He has countless powerful moments, Beautiful was incredible. I guess I tried to think of recent incidents.
Dec 17, 2015 Say what you want about the song (or album), but nothing beats "Irony's spectacular, huh? Now who's a fa----, you punk? And here's your Bronco hat; you can have that s--- back 'cause they s---!" "It's just me, you and the music now, Slim, I hope you hear it We're in the car right now, wait, here comes my favorite lyric 'I'm the bad guy who makes fun of people that die'" One of the greatest moments OAT, at least for me-- I totally didn't expect it
Dec 17, 2015 My fav off mmlp2 was beautiful pain when he suddenly remembers what flow is with "and I'm pullin for you to push thru this feeling" sequence. Also the last verse of bad guy is just downright ridiculous
Dec 17, 2015 @Changeling Totally agree with you. I think I'm the only one who likew the Bad Guy's first beat way way way way more than the second.
Dec 17, 2015 Bad GuY's second beat was good but nothing special. Too clouded drums. Wish it was clear as Dre drums but I don't think people like the final part a lot because of the beat. It's because lyrics and delivery were flawless.
Dec 17, 2015 Cuz all theses plaques in my office On the floor, stacked against the door Are they just metaphors for the odds of me coming back again cuz all the accomplishments, accolades awards and trophies, just don't mean jack anymore Cuz I'm here today and gone tomorrow And I'm not gonna be
Dec 17, 2015 GOF and Medicine Man I remember whenever the 1st time I heard GOF I got so pumped for XV
Dec 17, 2015 1. being the first person to hear the lose yourself demo http://forum.trshady.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=173391&start=11280 2. the phenomenal video. not only is em hella good at parkour, it was awesome seeing him use the IRC trout slap irl too
Dec 17, 2015 GOF is slept on but it's a goat song to me. Legacy is pretty incredible as well which I will also touch on soon.
Dec 17, 2015 All these moments really make you realize that he still has it in him. He just needs to be more consistent with it dammit.
Dec 17, 2015 when elevates his tone: "cause when i pick a pen, i'm venomous and i'm slick as denace the menace.." f---ing fire
