Oct 25, 2017 TPAB, IFYRTITL, and ST06 were my highlights that year. Cole was running Forest Hills too. We were definitely on the right track. A$AP even dropped. I liked that Travis project too. Bada$$, Lupe etc. 14 I will give to Cilvia Demo, Oxymoron, Pinata and Forest Hills . Logic was my n----- back then too. Under Pressure was dope. Then we had Mick with the Waters. Vince with h--- Can Wait. Mac with Faces. I liked that YG album too. None of these years invoking the same feeling for me though. Not as impactful as a whole.
Oct 25, 2017 I think what we need to happen is that everybody need to get it together. Can't just be 1 or 2 n----s running the game. We need some new legends to enter the scene. New waves that have staying power. Somebody or (somebodies) need to drop a classic album. Everybody need to be ON and we gotta get rid of all this goofy s---. This the only way I see us reliving these days. It might even be better. Imagine that s--- man.
Oct 25, 2017 Not many people are dropping albums to be classics anymore, albums themselves are becoming less common too. Artists prefer putting out a bunch of songs and just slapping them together in an 'album' that is good but not classic worthy. The era you mentioned is the last I'd say that that was common in.
Oct 25, 2017 Sadly this is the problem man..gets me down bad. This is the only way I see it though. Even if the chances looking low AF right now.
