Feb 6, 2017 It's my opinion, but I did not like MMLP2 as much, besides Legacy, Bad Guy, STIW, Headlights, and the last verse of the Survival. Eminem's style was on point, it's like between Recovery and The Eminem Show. You can actually compile a very good solo album. Shady XV - sounds choppy, but very cool. One of few songs where I like freestlye-like feeling. Die Alone - very emotional song, he sounds truthfully emotional here, not enforced. Vegas - bad a--- flow, great new underground sound. Guts Over Fear - it made us sad when it came out at first. I like the build- up emotions in the end. Fine Lane - the last verse and the bridge are classic. Twisted - signing is on point, hook is bad, Yelawolf's verse is one of his bests. Best Friend - excellent Recovery 2 style track, but much better than Recovery. It's produced the right way. Hills feat. The Weeknd - that song has a new sound and flow, and it is not bad at all. Kings Never Die - the robotic voice and the lyrics are great - "All alone on a throne", "Try to hold on to the moments because in a blink of an eye they'll be over". Raw - terrible lyrics, but the flow is like on Recovery 2 (improved). Medicine Man - top verse since 2004 easily. What do y'all think?
Feb 6, 2017 I like MMLP2 a lottt But agree with your SHADY XV review : -LOVE the Shady XV (track) - fun and cool lyrics... blackout zach galifinakis haha - GOF, my fav Eminem song ever (due to personal reasons)
Feb 6, 2017 How are you gonna like STIW but not Headlights. Best Friend Recovery 2 style? Lol I don't recall seeing anywhere on Recovery where he was dropping a duece or toilet humor Vegas ; "bad a--- flow" LOL & RAW is even worse than No Favors.
Feb 6, 2017 I thought MMLP2 was solid. Bad Guy and Evil Twin alone prove that he still has potential to make a great album up to the standards of his first 3. I liked everything he did on features, Shady XV and the Southpaw OST. Psychopath Killer was dope he spazzed on that s---
Feb 6, 2017 did you have a stroke? I'm only asking because you couldn't have meant to type stronger than I was, 'cause that song is by far the WORST on MMLP2.
Feb 6, 2017 I think it's emotional, when he starts to rap (you walked out, I almost died), that transition was flawless. I also like it for personal reasons (not related to the relationship). I enjoyed the singing in the end of the verse too. It's very genuine, at least that's what I think. Piano covers on that song are also good. I don't get all the hate. Being off-topic, No Favors was actually not bad. The problem was the Hype that we all had. It's not an official single or Eminem's song.
Feb 6, 2017 Shady XV was really cool. I am not a fan of the rock beat and the choppy flow in other songs, but this one for some reason is really good. And the freestyle in the end is also enjoyable.
Feb 6, 2017 if it comes to post mmlp2 songs Medicine Man and Kings Never Die are best examples that he can still make music but he releases to many mediocre/bad songs that it's hard to focuse on any positives
