    After my ears were blessed with Jermaine's Interlude, I felt like I should revisit 2014 Forest Hills Drive. So much nostalgia does this album contain. I listened to it all winter 2014 my freshman year in college. (It aint no lookin back no no no noooo:lebcry:) Now listening to it again with some time to pass, I'll stand by me saying that this is a classic album.

    There are no bad tracks. Wet Dreamz is not a bad track it's just Cole doing what Cole does in being relatable. The overrarching narrative of his rise to stardom and rejection of fame was something I caught immediately when I first heard it. The beats are great, the hooks are solid, the lyrics are potent, and J Cole paints a very beautiful picture of his upbringings. He really holds his own throughout the project. I thought Born Sinner was a great album but it wasn't anywhere near a classic in my book but this album is.

    Anyone who thinks otherwise post why and I bet I'll win the argument. Cole tha God

    It's enjoyable. Not classic. There isn't a single original or experimental idea, it's just bland sounds and concepts executed (arguably) well.

    You're right, it's not fair for me to give all the credit to his team. Jermaine did a good job making the most bland and accessible music for the lowest common denomenator of rap fan, I can't take that away from him.

    I don't think it was a classic.

    But, I liked it. And who doesn't like Tale Of 2 Citiez, cmon now :colerly:

    Yea, everything he did with it, yea it will be a classic album, and a critical moment in his career later in the future when we look back at it. Even if he drops better albums in the future. Classics aint got nothing to do with rather one likes the music or not because that's an opinion, but what the album did or will it be remembered...

    I was merely just stating my opinion.
    I just mean that FHD is not even close to be a classic, imo.
