AFC is so weak this year. I think all four NFC teams could beat any AFC team easily. Injuries ruined the AFC.

I don't know how anyone can say with certainty who the Pats are or aren't when you consider who is coming back.

24 hours later.....don't see myself getting over the Vikings loss any time soon. Wanted to play some Madden last night, but couldn't force myself to look at the team.

Okay we get it, you live and die for the Pats but regardless of who they have coming back from injury, losing two easy games to end the season isn't exactly a momentum builder.

I think every NFC team is at an advantage over any AFC team as of right now.

Sorry I'm still tied up with this game haha

I'm not mad at this at all, there's penalties every play that a ref could call and miss. If you pick apart everything your gonna find something that could be called.

Chiefs/Pats and Hawks/Panthers are probably the games I'm looking forward to the most, but all of them should be good.

I hope I'm not alone in thinking the Chiefs have a legit shot against the Pats.

What does me being a Pats fan have to do with anything? They were the best team in the League prior to getting wrecked with injuries, now they are getting almost all of their guys back.

I don't know how anyone can pretend to know what the Pats are gonna look like Saturday, due to not knowing just how healthy Julian Edelman is(I won't even touch on the defense), because he makes the chains move, especially on 3rd down. Momentum has nothing to do with anything really when it comes to this team.

I won't get on you much because I really don't think you follow or know much about the Pats (by the way you are downplaying the significance of them being healthy & talking about the Miami game).

The Miami game looked like a preseason game, where they were trying out Steven Jackson. They ran the ball 16 out of the first 18 plays and threw 5 times total in the first half(which would be light for a Tebow game). They wanted to win the game and probably thought they could get it done that way and that Miami would roll over and die.

If you read my first post it was how injuries have put the AFC at a disadvantage where we are right now in the playoffs. Then you fired back saying how no one can say that about the Pats BC we don't know who they are right now... Yeah, we know injuries hurt them and they don't have much momentum right now. That is pretty clear. Go ahead and "get on me" about it. There isn't much to argue.

No I read what you wrote "I think all four NFC teams could beat any AFC team easily" I just don't really get how you could be SO sure about that in the case of the Pats.

So what you are saying is the lack of momentum the Pats have(while playing 2nd stringers) is more important then the players they have coming back?

I think you are downplaying the significance of the Pats D at full strength(outside of Easley) as well as Julian Edelman's effect on the offense(and o-line for that matter).

Like I said, I get it, they have players coming back. I just don't think the AFC is as strong as the NFC this year. I likely exaggerated by saying they could easily be beaten. Maybe things will change after this week, but you can't deny the importance of momentum in the playoffs.

I understand the heat Porter is taking, but he was with Brown and clearly is talking to ref when he is shoved in the back by a Bengal.

Here is Porter walking to sideline with Brown when he is hit in the face by Burfict who was messing with the trainer.

I agree with you on this. I'm not as confident that the Patriots are just going to turn it back on just because everyone's healthy. I wish they would've had SOME momentum going in AND been healthy.

Momentum isn't the biggest thing to have in the playoffs, health definitely is. However, I think going into the playoffs, playing healthy, as opposed to GETTING healthy, is key.

The only thing that I like is that they've said the Pats have been practicing healthy for weeks, so that's a positive... But, game speed is WAY different...

I really don't know what to expect.

I'll say this though, the Pats POTENTIALLY are the best team in the playoffs. They have probably the most explosive offense, and a top tier defense, and a great special teams unit.

It's a very weird dynamic, because I can't remember an NFL playoff team that had so many non-season ending injuries, and players returning for the playoffs.

The Pats could either roll through the AFC, or they could be one and done. It's a dramatic swing between how great they can be, and how poor they can be, based on all of these injuries.

I expect the Patriots' defense to play great though, I don't see any reason to think otherwise. Timing and rust doesn't come on the defensive side of the ball. I have to believe that, without Charles and Maclin, Kansas City is going to struggle a lot against this Pats defense.

But, the big question is the Pats offense. They have everyone back, but I HAVE to believe the timing is going to be effected.

Do I think the offensive line CAN play better? Sure. They have a lot of depth, and most of their parts are interchangeable, as long as Vollmer and Cannon are at tackle. Their guards/center position are pretty strong, when they aren't put at tackle lol.

The last time I felt this uneasy going into the playoffs was the 2009 season, when we got blown out by the Ravens.

However, I think this Patriots' team is MUCH better than that team, and our defense is actually a strength.

I'm slandering the entire f--- outta Peyton Manning and the Broncos if he goes one and done against a team with no Antonio Brown, no deangelo, and a fuggin' QB with torn ligaments in his shoulder. Lord have mercy it's gonna be a slaughter-fest.
