Imo no album this year is as good as TPAB, C&L, Divers, Have You in My Wilderness, Vulnicura, In Colour, Lore.

2015 was just on another level

All the biggest artists dropped this year, but all the best projects dropped last year.

    Currents
    To p---- A Butterfly
    Art Angels
Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit
    The Epic
    M3LL155X
    Barter 6
    I Love You, Honeybear
    Garden of Delete
The Beyond Where the Giants Roam
    Divers
    Have You in My Wilderness
    Vulnicura
    In Colour
    Lore

Literally all of these albums would place very high in most "best albums of the decade" lists. The only 2 outstanding albums that dropped this year are Lemonade and Blonde

It was critically acclaimed too, maybe not on metacritic but the album made it on most end year lists. And who cares about the acclaim? The album deserves a mention on this list

I'm pretty sure it was also on slant, crack, pigeon and planes,.. and I believe it's one of those albums that got better in retrospect

No I hated TPAB. I thought Compton was great. It obviously didn't live up to the expectations of "Detox" but that's not what it was. It was definitely Dre's most consistent work and the only song I don't like is the one with Eminem. And I'm pretty sure Darkside/Gone is my favorite rap song of all-time.

Oh I thought you were disappointed with it. But yeah agree I like the album a lot. And I don't like Medicine Man as a song but the first part of Eminems verse is amazing imo. Dre's verse is kind of weird.

And cosign the DS/Gone comment. I think Dre's 'Gone' verse is a top 3 verse from him no matter who wrote it. The beat drop with the piano, easy e cameo, godly track.

Dre's discography is nearly flawless tbh

It's a really poorly produced album ,feels like something is missing from it, i guess the best word to describe it would be "thin', and considering its Dre I expected alot better

The rapping is sub par for the most part and alot of the features are from washed up rappers like ice cube (im a big fan but i dont wanna hear from him in 2015) and xzibit or randoms like Justus and king mez

highlight of the album was paak and kendrick

and he ruined the best song on the album (deep water) with an un skippable ear cancer skit of a shark, like really what the f--- was he thinking with that

overall it just seemed like an out of touch old man desperately trying to fit back in with the current sound

I honestly think your last sentence describes it perfectly except I think he succeeded doing it. None of the features are bad imo and most of the production sounds refreshing. But yeah different taste I guess. Fair criticism tho. Agree that the skit or whatever on Deep Water is terrible, he and Kendrick k--- it though. How do you rate each track? Just curious what songs you do and don't like
