Jun 29, 2019 UBI isn't socialism though..... UBI is practices in every company you buy a share in. You buy shares in this stock and at the end of the year you get paid. I feel like America needs to invest in its citezens because were the ones who make the country work. Alaska passed that s--- 30 years ago. The new oil companies are gonna be technology companies. Heres a question I have. Sanders said at the debate he wanted to tax wall street, why not Amazon, Gannett, IBM, Activision Blizzard,Jetblue airways, and other companies like that? does he want to tax the middle class to h--- along with the rich? cause im low middle class, I don't have much but I have enough to not call myself poor. I can live for a few months bbut it would be a struggle. It doesn't even have to be a 1000$ a month but anytype of money a month would be life changing. medicare would be life changing. I have 10000 in debt for medical issues at the moment. I cant afford it, but Yang is also free medical care. I do have a problem with free college though. In my state (GA) if you put any type of effort into highschool and get the grades of a 3.2 gpa or better than you can go to college for free with the HOPE scholarship paid through the Georgia Lottery. free college is just gonna make it like highschool where people don't give af and don't try. Im all for helping other people but I have to be able to help myself first

"He didn't do well, certainly, and maybe the facts weren't necessarily on his side. I think she was given too much credit for what she did. It wasn't that outstanding." Trump went on to say that Harris' response was "straight out of the can, what she said. That thing was right out of a box," and added that Biden "didn't respond great." "This was not Winston Churchill we're dealing with, OK," he said of Biden, "but it wasn't, I don't think, nearly as bad as they portended it to be." Any opinion on this enigma? I truly think trump may be scared of her debate tactics.
Jun 29, 2019 UBI is a form of redistributing wealth. Bet people would cry about socialism if Bernie talked about it. As a middle class worker I'm 10000000% OK with my taxes being raised so long as they are for the rich as well. Taxes aren't evil. They fund education, infrastructure, etc. Higher taxes mean you pay far less for stuff like healthcare. I wouldn't consider myself poor by any means because I don't struggle to survive on a daily basis but what I make a year is considered low income (anything under 50k) for seattle. I don't know Sander's exact views on taxes re: Amazon etc. but he's fought for them to institute a $15 min wage + general worker's rights. Amazon should definitely be taxed to s---. They paid $0 in taxes last year which is absolutely pathetic.
