Mar 3, 2020 My friend just pointed out to me that Bloomberg has spent almost the equivalent of the entire GDP of American Samoa on ads lol
Mar 3, 2020 this is a really good night for Biden. Did NOT see him winning Minnesota. Looks like he could well win Maine and Mass too, which would be upsets. And Texas is going to be a squeaker
Mar 3, 2020 Jim Clyburn not only resurrected Biden’s campaign but quite possibly might have won him the nomination with his endorsement. Obviously it’s still early but tonight is undeniably a great night for Biden which will likely land him back in the front runner spot.
Mar 4, 2020 Right. And again, presidential politics are all about this ebb and flow about 'less government / more government' right? Trump - his ego, his intrusive stranglehold over talking heads media - is effectively a more government president... at least in the sense we always hear from him and his bs. so i think voters see sanders and his promise of more government intervention and see a correlation kind of. biden would be quietly competent (hopefully) and i think that resonates as we saw with hillary/trump debates, and tbh the majority of bidens debates, it doesnt matter. we need to stop pretending people are following this bs i keep seeing warren supporters sooo shocked politics arent a meritocracy. like duhhh hellllloooooooooo no one likes that overachieving student in class
Mar 4, 2020 As sad as it is to say, Bernie needs to drop out now. The people have spoken, and Biden’s going to be the nominee. Bernie can’t stay in as a spoiler until June again. We have to focus everything on trump. It’s not just the presidency at stake. we are talking 2-4 Supreme Court justices, a new cabinet (a competent one), a real DOJ, federal court appointments, UN & ambassadors, international relations. I hope other Bernie supporters will understand this and not throw their vote away come Election Day. even though I think Biden has shown he’s mentally not sharp enough to be president, the implications of four more years of trump means I’ll vote Biden over a third party.
Mar 4, 2020 Forgot to mention the down ballot implications of a trump win. We need to reclaim the senate and secure our majority in the house.
Mar 4, 2020 Oh mos def, the vast majority of people don’t really pay that much attention to this stuff. At most they probably see a few clips of the debate on fox or msnbc. I remember seeing a poll that said a good chunk of people don’t even decide who they’re gonna vote for til Election Day or a few days before. Yeah some Warren supporters are caught up cuz they think Warren SHOULD win or DESERVES the nomination...but that’s not how things work. Looks like the writing’s on the wall at this point unfortunately. It might still be fairly close but think Biden’s gonna get a majority of the delegates.
Mar 4, 2020 “We don’t need moderates & independents! Bernie is going to invigorate young voters to come to the polls in masses!”
Mar 4, 2020 Anyway presidency aside one thing I’m excited about is that Georgia is inching its way toward being a swing state. Like I said earlier no matter what happens with Bernie’s run, I think it’s going to inspire young progressives all around the country. Like Nabilah Islam who is running for Congress in Georgia. Unfortunately not in my district but I’m gonna donate to her campaign anyway I think: https://www.nabilahforcongress.com/home
Mar 4, 2020 Maybe I’ll send some $$ her way, there’s some interesting people running in Texas too, who just might help it turn blue in the next fifteen years or so
Mar 4, 2020 As much as I’d like to see Texas turn blue, it’s gonna be awhile. Democrats haven’t been able to win a gubernatorial or senate race here in a long a--- time. Problem is democrats don’t have any powerhouse candidates in Texas.
Mar 4, 2020 Yeah it's still gonna be a minute for states like Texas and Georgia, but it's still inspiring that southern strongholds are changing. As ancient racists keep croaking and urban populations keep growing (Atlanta's predicted to grow to from 5.5 to 8.5 million by 2050) there's a good chance of them both becoming purple states. edit: just looked it up and over half of georgia's population is in the atlanta metro area so that's even more inspiring.
Mar 4, 2020 Looks like the endorsements helped Biden. If Bernie had balls he would run 3rd party to get revenge on Democrats. Warren has the best shot against Trump.. they should be getting behind her instead. I even kind of like her.
Mar 4, 2020 Lol D- trolling. How can you think Biden stands more of a chance against trump? Have you ever taken a political science college course? You’re really making yourself sound like a moron here. And someone who’s on a break of a meltdown if Biden loses the nomination. And Bernie is going to “burn” the system down? Everything would be ok dude, don’t be so paranoid. Listen closely, whenever Trump breaks records in votes against creepy Biden, I’ll run you off for a few years. Just like I did whenever Trump won the most recent election. And I saw that quote and mention about Romney a while ago. Stop that f---ing s---, right f---ing now. Or I’m getting Slyk involved. You don’t know the impact that had on me.
Mar 4, 2020 Yikes!!!!! A guy who claimed Clinton was going to beat trump and lost. Then went missing for several years because i told him to take a long break. And the same thing will happen when Biden gets destroyed by trump. Show me more of those fake polls how “favored” Biden will be to beat trump. Just like how Clinton supposedly had all the polls favoring her side. Enigma swore up and down to those polls. Morons.
Mar 5, 2020 what does it mean to be "on a break of a meltdown"? Are you saying I've been having a meltdown but decided to take a breather from it? also, just mention @Slyk next time, you scared little hillbilly
Mar 5, 2020 So Warren is out and I couldn't be more thrilled because now it's one on one and Joe Biden will be under the bright lights against Bernie with nowhere to hide. Again, I don't dislike Biden but he's not fit to run and that is going to be more clear than ever in the upcoming debates.
