I agree with Bruce Castor's points that Trump lost the election and the DOJ should arrest him.

I however don't think Nebraska is a judiciary minded place.

Cruz went to Havard and Princeton... he pretends to be Joe Dirt because he thinks MAGA voters are dumber than s---.

    He might be right.

But he wasn't born in. America and tried to overthrow American Democracy a month ago. He will never be President.

20 Republican Senate seats up for grabs in 2022. The Republican Party is just going to get in more disarray.

This would be a good time for Mitch McConnell to help expell Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley.

Sorry for the rant but I have a question, maybe I've missed it but have the GOP made any significant effort or damage control or anything to salvage their image about the fact the whole Qanon stuff and schizophrenic Sidney Powel-esque rhetoric and conspiracies that spread so far and high up in their party? I recall a lot of republican senators and people in Trump's circle behaving and saying things on official public record that you'd think you'd only see in the darkest corners of 4chan or youtube comments. I think a bigger issue for the republican party isn't whether the Trump admin was responsible for s--- like the capitol riot or any of the other issues like the Russia fiasco or handling of covid, it's how embarrassing it is for a major political party (in the U.S no less) to be hijacked by /pol/ shitposting and constantly embarrass themselves using talk points and strategies meant for stupid online shitfuckery. I don't remember them being this insane during the earlier years of Trump's presidency but it was on 24/7 since the whole voter fraud thing began and it didn't stop til the very bitter end. There was nom effort to end with grace

In fact I just googled it and I'm not seeing anything to suggest that it's been widely rejected or anything by the party? Any sort of apologies or something for the constant stupid lies and waste of time/resources? The smart move would've been to just lay it all on the Trump administration but what good does that do if you still got senators refusing to condemn/reject it? At this point even saying they were just pretending to be r-----ed would make them look less stupid. A rational person would respect that more wouldn't they?

Or do people simply not care anymore? Even the democrat's shitflinging at the GOP these days is all about how they tried to incite a resurrection and other illegal activity rather than pointing out how the party can't be taken seriously as they've made no significant effort to do so, as a proper grown professional adult would

BTW after typing this I'm just realizing that probably wouldn't matter anyway considering such a large portion if not the majority of republican voters were on board the Powel and Giuliani train til the end and a lot still are. I forgot the whole d--- voter base turned full r----- towards the end as well. But anyway I've lived in 3 different countries and they all have different politics with their own unique quirks and flaws (some quite serious), but I could confidently say most would rather go through some damaging proven corruption scandal than be a laughing stock. Not because of pride but the voters tend to be less forgiving on stupidity and embarrassment, probably because the average voter already hears about how "corrupt" and "bad" the other party is on the news anyway so a lot of wrongdoings can be swept under 'politics will be politics'. It's when they do something that their own supporters/voters/members are the first to call it out because there's no rationally defending it without looking silly or losing credibility that the party would be in serious trouble come election time.
