Nov 20, 2024 Just an idea I had, everyone can suggest one (or as many as they want) albums that released in 2024 and I will randomize them and throw them in a bracket to see who comes out as the number one album of 2024. GUIDELINES/SET-UP: -Must have been released between Jan 1st, 2024 and Dec 30th, 2024 -“Released on streaming” releases count (ex. Days Before Rodeo) -Deluxes that released this year for an album that released in 2023 or before do NOT count (ex. GUTS (spilled)) -Deluxes are NOT considered as their own album (ex. BRAT remix album will just fall under BRAT, as TTPD: The Anthology will just fall under TTPD) -"Anniversary" deluxes do NOT count as a 2024 release -All genres accepted -Mainstream and underground accepted -Suggestions close Dec 31st @ Midnight EST (any big major shocker album release on Dec 31st will be added and accounted for, but unlikely as it is a Tuesday) -Bracket revealed sometime Dec 31st -Polls for round 1 open Jan 1st -Polls for each round will be open for 1 week to give everyone time to lend their ears to the albums and give their vote, this whole process will take a few weeks so be prepared! -Google Forms will be used for the polls. It will ask for your email just so it limits it to 1 response per person, but I will make it where it does NOT collect your email address for me to see! **NOTE: YOU CAN NAME ANY ALBUM FROM 2024, IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR AOTY OR EVEN AN ALBUM YOU LIKE! Nov 21, 2024 The Weeknd’s album has to come out this year. If it doesn’t that would be crazy. Playboi Carti’s album could come out in December but I’m not betting on it. Kendrick Lamar could still drop an album but to a lot of people that’s starting to seem more like a 2025 drop. I’ve also been hearing some interesting rumblings about Jay Z but who knows. It’s fine though, 2024 was already stacked. There’s been so many good albums, even Future himself dropped 3 of them.
