Jul 8, 2017 This album got the most quotable lines of the year, there's like a couple in every song; 21 always saying some real street s---
Jul 8, 2017 loved the fact it was a solo album. shows how confident he is, it's not like he cut any songs short. love the fact that no song was under 2 minutes. He brought the fire and delivered. Imo, he is the FACE of the new era of rap, the most legitimate of street dudes to come up. he knows the pain he faced in the streets and portrayed how he was trying to overcome it in this album. loved the new style too on FaceTime, showed his true versatility. may not be the best album in terms of like overall message and whatever but I can confidently say it is my FAVORITE album of the year
Jul 8, 2017 fr. that's what made savage mode so fantastic for me. just having heard all the s--- he has been through, added so much to the listen.
Jul 8, 2017 I guess I should give this album a try @Jehovah any chance I will appreciate this production wise?
Jul 8, 2017 Second half of the album defintley stood out more. The intro is incredible though. Might be 21's best song.
Jul 8, 2017 I downloaded this album today and I definitely enjoyed it more than I thought i would. I never really gave 21 a chance but after seeing all the hype I gave in but glad I did. As a whole album I'm enjoying this more than d---. Numb is my favorite song so far and a top 3 song of the year for me personally.
Jul 8, 2017 Honestly, I don't know if you would like him tbh. He's definitely one of the hardest rappers to get into just because of his slow style of rapping. The way he raps makes it so easy to dismiss him so people don't really give him a chance When I first heard of him I wasn't really feeling him and thought he was boring af but he grew on me as I kept listening. Lot of people are put off by the way he raps because it seems like he is putting no effort into it and he is almost talking but that's his style and part of his aesthetic. I really haven't heard any rapper rapping like this and that's why I like him so much; hes unique and raps with this pain and regret in his voice like he really seen some f----- up s--- growing up. Production is pretty simple on this, nothing you haven't heard before and its got the drums that you hate lmao, I'm pretty sure you would like the production on Thug Life tho because of the sample. Listen to this song first, this is the song that made me appreciate 21. It really sounds like he got a lot of regret and pain whilst rapping; s--- is pretty sad tbh. Try this song too You really got to give him a chance tho and give him a couple listens so he could grow on you because its really really really really easy to throw him off as boring and generic; I did this first too. Try and get to the 2nd half off Issa and listen to track 8-13 because it's wayy stronger than the first half. This interview was really good too, really just made me appreciate him more
Jul 8, 2017 Have you ever did a real homicide, n-----? Have you ever made a n----- mama cry, n-----? Do or die n----- gotta do or die, n----- If you ain't the one doing it, you gon' die, n----- Sometimes I look at God and I wonder "why," n----- Why my n----s had to be the ones that had to die, n----- They killed one, we gon' k--- 5, n----- Real s---
Jul 8, 2017 He spillin so much real s--- on this album the way he says "when they killed my brother I cried" on whole lot really f---ing with me man
Jul 8, 2017 Damnn bro. This is different than a simple yes or no. For the effort of this alone I feel guilty not checking it out lmao. Will give those songs a few spins and if I dig it will listen to the entire album!
Jul 8, 2017 Yeah, its just because of how hard it is to get into him. I don't even blame you if you don't check it out tbh. He really ain't for everyone
Jul 8, 2017 "Nothin' New" is gut-wrenching. You can legit feel the despair in his voice. Streets cut throat, n-----, so I'm cut throat, I use to sell dope n-----, now I can't vote, poppin' percocets to k--- the pain, I can't cope
