This will always be one of my favorite albums OAT, one of the of the craziest albums ever made. Its just a non stop barrage of weirdness and brilliance and 'how the f--- did he do that?' lol. Also, Stroke of Death remains the ugliest - or as Chris Rock described "makes you want to stab your babysitter" instrumental I've ever heard.

I was never into East. Reopen the West since day one and I'm ashamed to admit that I've never heard this album. Or basically anything from any of the Wu. Bar a few individual songs.

I'll listen to this though and go from there!

I once dedicated a whole episode of my podcast to this album its references to the Nation of Islam. Unfortunately, it never saw the light of day but some key things I remember. After I read U-God's book Raw, I understood this album so much better. Ghost recorded this album in Africa and there are several references to the Black man as god, as Ghost was trying to connect with his roots.

This is without a doubt one of the best hip hop albums of all time.

Start with Enter the Wu-Tang if you haven't heard it, easiest to get into imo. After that Only Built 4 Cuban Linx (Raekwon) and Supreme Clientele—Liquid Swords (GZA) as well but I think that one's a little harder to get into.

oh man I'm envious, you're in for a massive treat. I'll never forget my journey discovering Wu. If you're gonna do it definitely go with the albums BC listed as a good starting point. Imperative that you start with Enter the Wu Tang

This takes me back to my cruises with my cousin. When the only way to show you pimpin is by holding your big a--- ipod whenever you go. Had my remote plug with me like excuse me while i find a hole to plug this in. Had us nodding heads before the song came in to warm the neck

Most rappers tell you why they are better

this album is one of the very rare times where a rapper show you they are better
