Apr 18, 2020 AFAIK he was pissed after the fact (?) memory is a bit foggy on exact details, but in 1 interview from like 4 or so years ago he said something along the lines of "I gave away... how many hit records to other artists? like "yeah i got this song from Dre, but lets put you on" then this Game n----- spits in my face and the rest of g unit are lazy robots who can't do s--- unless i tell them to do it, or babysit them for tours and promotion. like wtf?" like Imo, 50's (rightfully) a bit salty because he LEARNT very early in his career, he gave free meal tickets to people in the hopes they'd be huge successes but they were like "lol got the free lambo 50!!!" and 50s like "why the f--- did i do that when i worked so hard for mine?" that being said though, he's also explicitly stated that after GRODT he started to get the "you need x and y for your album to sell" and he was like "lol no" till it turned to "RADIO SONG OR SHELVED!"
Apr 18, 2020 I know for a fact he didn't like Game to begin with because of how him and his crew acted when they came through and I was pretty sure he was pissed he gave those tracks away but was asked by Dre to do it. I mean he can't really complain to Dre. His biggest hits were from him, but still that would sting me. He made those songs with the hooks

Apr 18, 2020 I think I'll give this a spin when I get 5mins to myself again. Seriously, this lockdown is killing me. Trying to survive in a tiny 2 bed flat with no garden or balcony in central London with a 3½ year old and a 2 month old is f---ing bollocks. I hate it. I f---ing hate it. The only time I get any time to myself is when I take an extra long s--- and from 9pm to 11pm before I pass out from exhaustion and get some sleep before I'm woken up again at 6am by the tornado that is a 3 year old boy. Can't listen to music, can't read a book, can't watch what I want on TV. Literally nothing. f--- this s---. I miss my commute to work where I have at least got 30mins to listen to some music.
Apr 18, 2020 Well that was an unexpected rant. I only came here to say I will listen to this again when I get a chance. I hated it when it came out because the rawness of GRODT had been lost but I remember I gave it a spin a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Maybe I've got softer over the years but I enjoyed the mainstream-ness of it years later.
