Dec 11, 2015 50 Cent conforming to industry trends like a b----, as usual. When will we see Curtis Jackson, 50 Cent unfiltered, on some real s--- on unique production? This still lowkey fire tho
Dec 11, 2015 It's hard to say this tape was underwhelming since I wasn't expecting much in the first place. One thing I will note is that this project was one of the harder ones it was for me to enjoy since the production on some songs is so d--- good but 50 Cent is so f---ing simplistic it's ridiculous. I'm sure if you took the acapellas from all these songs you wouldn't be able to tell them apart because it's all the same s---. b------s, money, a position of power that is so disgustingly egotistical. The beat on n----- n----- is fantastic, one of the best I've heard 50 rap over in years. That's the problem though, 50's rapping on it. He's as bland as ever. Which is baffling because he's got such a big personality outside of music. Boosie shined through exceptionally, his charisma was through the roof and he probably has the best verse on the album (kinda made me wish this was a Boosie mixtape instead); Young Buck came through as well. Too Rich's instrumental is exceptional as well, and so is Body Bags and Tryna f--- Me Over. Again, the problem is 50 Cent. His topics are so repetitive, I could pretty much predict what he was going to say next. Post Malone's harmonies are took a bit of the lethargicness away for a moment. That's another thing to note, all the features are the best vocals on the album. I'm the Man is without a doubt the best instrumental on the album and one of the best hip hop beats I've heard this year. It was euphoric and I was in tears because they gave it to 50 instead of a rapper that could have utilized it far better. Sonny Digital's hook was again the best vocal part of the song. The last two tracks aren't as modern produced and they sound just like every single throwaway track 50's put out these past 6 years. Easily the most uninteresting part of the mixtape. Well, there's nothing special about this. Apart from the instrumentals there isn't anything to digest or analyze. I really wish this was beat tape instead, and it pretty much proves what I've been saying for a while; that no matter how hard 50 tries to adapt to modern music, he'll always fall behind because his topics, flows, and lyrics are extremely one dimensional, they have been for the past 10 years and that's why people don't care anymore.
Dec 11, 2015 unsure on whether or not I want to hear this I think I liked one of the singles okay, but didn't like the other. I see untagged out now tho, so I may give it a spin real quick
