Jun 15, 2016 Well now we're talking about events outside of the United States. Look, if bombs were as efficient/effective as firearms were, they'd be used more in mass killings in the states. They aren't though and that's because they're extra steps/more risk involved in obtaining them. Firearms are much more easily accessible/more reliable so they're used more. We can't keep beating around the bush and acting like the United States doesn't have a gun problem. We do.
Jun 15, 2016 Switzerland has the biggest gun ownership in the world but don't have a mass shooting problem. It's obvious the problem is not guns. It's mental health and poverty. But I agree that nobody on an FBI watch list should be able to buy a gun with so much ammo.
Jun 15, 2016 lol, mental health and poverty is an issue in every country the problem is not guns as such, its how easily you can get hold of one Switzerland still have restrictions in place before the purchase of a gun the outstanding problem is the availability of guns in America, and there is no argument against that fact
Jun 15, 2016 "Still, the U.S. doesn’t rank No. 1. At 0.15 mass shooting fatalities per 100,000 people, the U.S. had a lower rate than Norway (1.3 per 100,000), Finland (0.34 per 100,000) and Switzerland (1.7 per 100,000)." http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...-obama-correct-mass-killings-dont-happen-oth/
Jun 15, 2016 Switzerland's gun ownership process is a lot different. I believe men are required to go through some type of military service in Switzerland which includes firearm training (obviously). Once they are done with military service, they can keep their firearm but they must be approved a firearm permit.
Jun 15, 2016 But they aren't going nuts and killing each other. Probably because it's a homogenous society with low poverty rates and a strong border, and when you compare it to a melting pot with tons of ghettos with different ethnicites, its not hard to see why there's more conflict in the states
Jun 15, 2016 There's no hicks killing each other in Switzerland or abandoned black ghettos receiving little funding, no breeding grounds for violence.
