Aug 17, 2016 -his most influential album -the only album I think he produced all alone -maybe his most popular album out the sphere of hip hop, and also his only non rap album
Aug 17, 2016 He had help from No I.D., Mr. Hudson and Plain Pat. The album that was closest to Ye producing by himself was College Dropout.
Aug 17, 2016 kanye always works with people, but its the first project where he developed a unique art direction it is his best album tho ur right
Aug 17, 2016 It is an original style, lmao the only similar sounds production wise was blueprint 3 because of Kanye's hand in it.
Aug 17, 2016 yh thrue but still every other production on the album was additionnal according to wikipedia so I guess it was kinda him doing all alone with sum people adding some instruments
Aug 17, 2016 You forgot that he got the style from T-Pain? (rapper turnt singa) It wasn't his original style
Aug 17, 2016 No, t-pain simply popularized autotune, and by that logic every rock song with guitar distortion got their style from Ike Turner. Btw, auto tune existed long before t-pain. Kanye utilized the autotune in unique ways and the production was wholly unique. It was his original style.
Aug 17, 2016 No I'm talking about the particular album rapper turnt singa from T-Pain released in 2004. Kanye got the ideas for 808s and heartbreak from him and T-Pain also helped working on 808s and heartbreak cuz kanye wanted to learn from him. The idea of 808s wasnt that original and had been done before. If you havent listened to rapper turnt singa, do it and youll see it. Here's a video explaining it: Skip to 2:10 for kanye info
Aug 17, 2016 Yeah I've seen this interview, I'm saying kanye's take on it was different and original. Drake says he was inspired by 808s but that doesn't mean any of his original tapes were direct ripoffs of it. T-Pain helped Kanye master the autotune which was just one aspect of the album, saying the autotune defined the album is a really narrow-minded way of thinking.
Aug 17, 2016 No just the theme of the album, the production (with the bass), the love songs and ofc the autotune makes it very reminiscent of rapper turnt singa. People keep praising kanye for this album and saying that it is so unique and original when in reality the album was actually kind of done before, but tpain don't get praise at all for it. It's kinda hypocritical of the people saying ye did this thing first and it was so "genius"
Aug 17, 2016 I guess this would be the Kanye album I'd most likely need a condom for so it makes sense
