Aug 17, 2016 Was not the same f--- you're right the beats did have bass. Good point zero originality it is. Of which there were none in 808s, at least in the traditional sense. It was only "done before" if you're painting in broad strokes and lumping whole styles together. T-Pain pioneered it, Kanye innovated it. The only person who thinks T-Pain was doing what Kanye did first is T-Pain, and that's no disrespect to him but they took the styles in two completely different directions, nothing on T-Pain's album sounds like Robocop or Coldest Winder or Street Lights etc etc.
Aug 17, 2016 I'm just saying it wasn't that genius and original as a lot of people claim it is, but you just like to deny it for some reason. Don't get me wrong, it is a great album, but just not that original.
Aug 17, 2016 Whatever you say man. I made alot of good points, but you just to delusional to see them
Aug 20, 2016 ill never understand the hate behind 808s and Heartbreak. The album is d--- near perfect
Aug 20, 2016 Magnum Opus has to be MBDTF. His most influential though is 808s, and it's my personal favorite too. But when I think "Magnum Opus", it has to be MBDTF.
Aug 21, 2016 I love College Dropout for so many reasons. Too many to name. Came out at the perfect time though. One year after the 50 Cent and G-Unit Takeover. Completely shifted the main focus within the genre. The whole Backpacker Era with associated artists like Dilated Peoples, Rhymefest, and too many to even remember by name. Kanye had Hip-Hop going through a culture clash within itself. Before Drake knew that he could figure how to get the label-heads to offer him good figures, all the while, knowing that him doing a show was making everyone nervous, Kanye West had the hipsters getting along with the hood n----s. Simple and plain.
Aug 21, 2016 yep, it is. people who think 808's is better than LR are the type of people who try to argue with their emotions, lol
