They still have 1 album left on their contract with Jive Records." Now I know this was made in 2011.. But what yall think the chances are of us getting 1 last Tribe album? They all seem on good terms as of now, especially since their booking shows and such and revamping their website and all. I really hope it happens!
Feb 1, 2016 They have 5 albums with Jive? Wouldn't have a clue about their contract status is though. I don't think I would be a fan of a new album, they had their time and were a fantastic group in the 90s.
Feb 2, 2016 I really don't think it's ever going to happen. Although they do still technically have 1 album left on their contract, Q-Tip has made it pretty clear that he doesn't want to make another Tribe album. However, in a Hot 97 interview a few months ago the other members said that they would probably be up for making another one, but without Q-Tip on board it will just never go ahead. Like @Jakey said, they had their time and they've already left an amazing legacy that doesn't really need to be touched.
