Nov 1, 2019 It’s amazing. If you like gangstarr then you’ll absolutely like this album. They don’t reinvent the wheel or take any risks. And that’s what makes it so perfect this many years after they broke up and guru passed away. They give you that pure uncut gangstarr sound. Not surprisingly, Guru only has like one verse per song and maybe a hook here and there. But you can tell Preemo wanted to make sure everything he did was perfection. The beats are flawless, the guests verses and hooks are really well placed, and Preemo periodically scratches in classic Guru lyrics and quotes. I think it’s f---ing amazing but I grew up on gangstarr so I’m gonna be heavily biased.
Nov 1, 2019 just listened to this. I was working on a project so I wasn't really paying attention but the song with Cole is probably the best one. Cole's flow on that is great. There wasn't enough Guru, I thought the album would have been longer since I have seen it had 16 tracks but all of them were really short. But I guess that was all the material Premo had so whatever, he did a good job with the beats. Good album in overall.
