    Curious how we got to a point where a Carti album is one of the most desired of the year :emoji_thinking:

    I'm as hype as the next guy but I'm not entirely sure what he's done to deserve the hype other than Modeling, being associated with A$AP Rocky, and providing ~3 keepers per project?

    I love Uzi to death, but Carti sounds so much better with Future than him. And Uzi sounds better with Thug than Carti (Choppa Won't Miss was never really my favorite.). It's so weird because Carti's clearly more influenced by Thug than he is by Future.

    He feels way more natural on this, than on Saint Jhn, Ty$ and 2Chainz projects (Feel A Way is still goated). For whatever reason I keep replaying Go2DaMoon, maybe because I expect the beat to drop any minute, just to get disappointed again in the end. Still I enjoy it. Very odd how Carti managed to do that.

    Yeah it's crazy. There was a time where we got new Carti leaks every day until probably the whole OG WLR leaked. Yet besides Neon, I don't recognize any song being leaked beforehand. Deluxe version with Kid Cudi feat. Kid Cudi, Molly and Cancun would be a smart move though

    Rodeo is definitely super accessible so it’s a good way to get into trap. And Thug’s verses on Days Before Rodeo were what sold me on him as an artist (especially Skyfall).

    Rodeo was the album that made me completely abandon being an Eminem stan, and for that I will forever be thankful for. Only the greatest Trap album could achieve this lol

    People SWORE Rodeo was gonna be this game-changer for trap, was gonna have this punk or grunge aesthetic or whatever. And it was just a trap album lol. Which is fine, but that album's always been really messy to me. It has a decent number of great individual songs but the sequencing is a--- and the stellar guest verses do a lot of the heavy lifting. But there was some great production on there like nightcrawler and oh my dis side.

    I do like Astroworld quite a bit though, imo Travis finally found his pocket on that one.

    Honestly RIP was usually a skip for me, not because of its sound but because the lyrics were just too much for me. Which was a shame cuz I loved the sound of it. Just one of those songs where it goes far beyond run of the mill misogyny. Like YG She Wish She Was. The production is amazing but the song is too much.
