Jul 16, 2021 I say this as one of the biggest Push fans on the site who likes the boom bap gospel beat change horseshit...but wtf was that intro to his verse about album of the year? In the same song as the kanye "verse." The farther I get into this the more it feels like Biggie Duets which is so sad considering it's not reused verses...though I actually wouldn't be surprised if there are some on the album lol.
Jul 16, 2021 I didn't get that either. I think no matter how much you like Pop Smoke, we all knew that this album wasn't gonna be anything special and everyone involved was aware of that too. Just a service to the fans to get some new Pop Smoke music out. Why would Pusha even target (?) Tyler and compare two completely different albums (one carefully curated and cohesive, the other a posthumous, random collection of songs and features). Was it a shout out or did he belittle him, I'm still not sure lol
Jul 16, 2021 I think it was intended as a shoutout cuz Tyler and Push have a lot of respect for each other...but Push also disses other rappers a lot so it feels insincere. And it's just weird to do on a posthumous album period.
Jul 16, 2021 I mean there's some songs on here I like, but I don't like them because they feel like pop smoke songs. I like a song or two on Duets too. But I compared it to duets because it feels like such a scrape the bottom of the barrel cash grab album. Borderline disrespectful imo.

Jul 17, 2021 Hella throw aways on this. I liked the Rick Ross track. Sounded like a 50 cent record when 50 was in his prime. Where it was likely recorded around the same time as the last release, it just feels like more of the same, but lesser quality. Ah well, rip smoke.
