Dec 7, 2018 Catchier songs and some fresh flows would've been nice For me it's a fun album with some great tracks and some horrendous ones. I'm not sure if I like Nuketown or not but I appreciate JuiceWRLD attempting something new. The cuts Ski does on this that are pushing the envelope are pretty awful and I shortened my tracklist to 9 tracks. There's some slaps though and I don't see Ski as a Denzel Curry, he's closer to lil pump. Just give me bangers, Albums probably a 6/10 but man I love his interpolation of the drop it like it's hot hook
Dec 7, 2018 agreed, wasn't sure about Nuketown at first but it might be my favorite song on the album now. Thats an interesting comparison, I always saw Ski in a lane of his own though, he's one of the most unique rappers out at the moment. I just think he's not living up to his potential, especially on this album, which is supposed to be his big debut. And I mean we know he's capable of making really great music, I loved the Timbalandish route he was going with songs like Catch Me Outside and Worldwide. Plus all there was plenty of cool weird s--- he did on his last 2 tapes. I'd probably also give it a 5 or 6/10 but overall it just seems regressive.
Dec 7, 2018 A Timbaland or Madlib produced album would bring the best out of Ski in my opinion. Weird but his flow would be complemented perfectly. If he wants to put out ignorant s--- I'd like him working with Mike Will
