'When we heard A$AP Rocky's first album, Long.Live.A$AP, back in 2013, we quickly realized that Rocky's style game was truly worthy of the "fashion killa" title. Since his debut major release, Rocky's been hard at work cementing his fashion credibility. From editorials for Mr Porter and Vogue, to sightings with Raf Simons, and even a trip to the Met Gala with model ex-girlfriend Chanel Iman.

There's no doubt that A$AP Rocky likes to shop, and it's clear that the time between Long.Live.A$AP and his recently released At.Long.Last.A$AP, has seen Rocky's already encyclopedic fashion knowledge grow even larger. This is Name Brands: All of A$AP Rocky's Fashion References in At.Long.Last.A$AP.

    Rolex
    [IMG]

    Song: “Holy Ghost”
Lyric: “Holy smokes, I think my pastor was the only folk to own the Rollie, Ghost and Rolls Royces with no Holy Ghost”

Noting Rolex's association with luxury goods and high incomes, Rocky remarks that for a man of God, his pastor seems to be making enough money to afford a Rollie (along with a Rolls Royce). Ironically, this is also the same brand of watch Rocky had stolen while crowd surfing at a show in London. Don't worry, A$AP Mob recovered the timepiece.

    Goyard

    Song: “Canal St.”
Lyric: “I went to Paris for my trunks, 100 thousand spend on Goyard. Used it once, couldn't give a s---, d--- or f--- about 'em”

Goyard is a French luggage brand with long-standing luxury connotations. In earlier lines, Rocky notes that he went from “roaches” to “red broaches”. The fact that he could go out to Paris just to buy expensive luggage that he'd only use once isn't just a rags-to-riches story—it's the ultimate flex.

    Cartier
    [IMG]
    Song: “Canal St.”
Lyric: “Mouth full of fronts, look like Master P up in my Cartier's, diamonds shinin' in the frames. Changed the game and made them say Uhh”

An homage to one of Master P's notable accessories, Rocky acknowledges that with his fronts and diamond-studded Cartier frames, he looks like No Limit rapper (and Lil Romeo's dad) Master P.

    Rick Owens
    [IMG]

    Song: “Excuse Me”
Lyric: “Another 20 thousand dollars on Rick Owens out in Barneys”

Simply put, Rocky reminds us that he can drop 20 grand on Rick Owens at Barneys. Add in Rocky's personal connection to Rick Owens and his partner Michèle Lamy (Rocky says that At.Long.Last.A$AP was partially inspired by her), along with Rocky's impact in the street goth style subculture (where Rick Owens is an especially popular designer), and this is more than just Rocky bragging about his bank account.

adidas By Raf Simons Stan Smith
    [IMG]

Song: “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2)”
Lyric: “Raf Simons, Stan Smith edition with my bands out”

Rocky's been a very public fan of Raf Simons, being one of the first celebrities to really shine a spotlight on the Belgian designer and his collaboration sneakers with adidas. Sure, he'll flaunt his money, and “stand out,” but he'll be doing it in his Raf Simons Stan Smiths.

Jeremy Scott x A$AP Rocky x adidas Originals
    [IMG]

Song: “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2)”
Lyric: “It's a shame how they low down, dirty like Adidas on my sneaker feature”

Here, Rocky is explaining how people are “running with [his] old style”—the blacked out, street goth look. The sneakers that Rocky's referencing are a triple black version of Jeremy Scott'sWings 2.0model with adidas Originals. This song originally released as a snippet via “Multiply”, a track where Rocky expressed frustrations over people stealing his signature style, not giving credit, and inevitably making it corny. He's saying that those who stole his look are “low down dirty”—like the blacked out sneaker he collaborated on.

    Hermès
    [IMG]

    Song: “Electric Body”
Lyric: “Do I got them hoes out workin'? Yeah. Do I make 'em put the work in the Birkin? Yeah.” - Schoolboy Q”

Schoolboy Q explains that not only does he put in work dealing on the streets, but that he has girls out on the streets working for him too. Simply put, Q is pimping. He's referencing the highly desirable (ad incredibly expensive) Birkin bag from French luxury brand Hermès. His girls aren't just going to have to work in order to be able to receive a Birkin bag, Q is also going to use his girls (and their Birkin bags) to store and sell product for him too.

    Tommy Hilfiger, Nike
    [IMG]

    Song: “Jukebox Joints”
Lyric: “When I seen this b---- in Venice, Tommy and some mean Huaraches"

When Rocky saw this beautiful girl for the first time out in Venice, Italy (or Venice Beach, it's unclear which specifically), she was wearing Tommy Hilfiger and NIke Huaraches. This implies that she's a down-to-Earth girl—even while Rocky's tripping off acid.

    Prada
    [IMG]

    Song: “Jukebox Joints”
Lyric: “Call my Prada prior, cause it's dropping next fall”

It's no secret that A$AP Rocky is well connected in the fashion world. He's so connected, that he has pieces from next fall's Prada collection—well before the general public release.

    Saint Laurent, Zara
    [IMG]

    Song: “Jukebox Joints”
Lyric: “Man everything basic to Ye Guevara. That means Saint Laurent is my Zara” - Kanye West

Kanye is so well connected (and well paid) that the typically expensive Saint Laurent Paris, is his version of fast fashion; in this case, Zara.

    Polo Ralph Lauren
    [IMG]

    Song: “Jukebox Joints”
Lyric: “I remember Rochelle ain't wanna f--- me with the polo. Ay b---- you missed out, hashtag #Fomo”

The earlier years of Kanye's career sees him in plenty of Polo. When he was earlier on in his career, a girl named Rochelle didn't want to sleep with him because of the perceived “basicness” of the Polo brand. Now that Kanye is incredibly successful and influencing men's fashion (not to mention married to Kim Kardashian), she clearly “missed out.”

    Maison Margiela
    [IMG]

    Song: “Pharsyde”
Lyric: “Kick off my Maison Martin's, lay on back like Martha Mason. Smoke away my eye and lung 'til later die at 71”

Taking off his Maison Margiela sneakers, Rocky's about to lie down like Martha Mason, a woman who contracted polio and spent a majority of her life lying on her back in an iron lung. This also creates a double entendre, as you can assume that Rocky is going to both “smoke away his eye and lung” or smoke to the point that he won't need the help of something like an iron lung.

    Mr Porter
    [IMG]

    Song: “Wavybone”
Lyric: “I'm Richard Porter mixed with Mr. Porter”

Richard Porter was a Harlem-based d--- dealer who, according to an article in The New York Times, sold $50,000 of crack a week. Mr Porter is an online shop that specializes in selling high fashion labels and luxury menswear. Someone who buys their clothing exclusively at Mr Porter would need to have plenty of money to fund their shopping habits. In this way, Rocky's saying that he's well-paid with a taste in luxury fashion, but hasn't forgotten his humble Harlem roots in rise to success. Oh, and don't forget, A$AP Rocky lent his modeling talents to a web editorial for Mr Porter's “Journal” in 2013.

    Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada
    [IMG]

    Song: “Wavybone”
Lyric: “The Louis store I drop bands, the Gucci store I drop bands. Prada store I went ham, my left wrist it cost a lamb” - Juicy J

Juicy J is bragging about how much he dropped at the Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Prada stores. He spent so much, that the jewelry on his left wrist costs more than a Lamborghini (which is well over $250 thousand).

    Audemars Piguet
    [IMG]

    Song: “West Side Highway”
Lyric: “Audemars, season order like summer, fall.”

Audemars Piguet is a Swiss watchmaker with over 140 years in the business. The label has plenty of hip-hop references, but Rocky is a consistent fan of the brand, even mentioning them in his first album. Even though an Audemars' watch may cost more than someone's car (or home), Rocky mentions that he orders a new timepiece from the watchmaker every season, “like summer, fall”

    Dior

    Song: “West Side Highway”
Lyric: “New Dior from the boutique store. Only thing in common that we got is that we want it all”

While Rocky is talking about the girl he's riding with, he's realizing that other girls “ain't got a thing on her.” As implied with his earlier Audemars mention, she likes to go shopping with Rocky—coming away with new Dior purchased directly from the boutique. They don't have a lot in common, but she and Rocky both have similar shopping habits; they want all the clothes.

    Issey Miyake
    [IMG]

    Song: “Back Home”
Lyric: “On wax, spitting heat to melt the wax off. I'm Mr Miyagi and Issey Miyake”

The first line alludes that Rocky's music so good, it melts the vinyl (“wax”) record it's being played off of. Rocky then ties this into the classic line from The Karate Kid's Mr. Miyagi: “wax on, wax off.” This flows into a rhyming reference to the conceptual designer Issey Miyake. Not only do “Miyagi” and “Miyake” sound similar, but the reference also implies that Rocky's acknowledging Miyake's Japanese origins.'
