Critically acclaimed musician Anderson .Paak signed with Aftermath Ent. in 2016 and since then, fans have been looking forward to hearing what the result of the partnership will be.

In a new interview, the singer-rapper-instrumentalist has revealed that his new album is done and in the mixing stage right now. He also says that it will have a significant contribution from his label boss, Dr. Dre. He said the new album is “just going through the mixing phase. I won’t say any dates but you can definitely expect it this year, sometime.”

Loved this, wished this came out in the summer since there are a ton of cookout jams. The middle part does drag the album down, not that's its any bad but there is an energy lacking that would not have existed on Malibu. Outside of Dre's dry feature, everybody else delivered and enhanced their respective songs.

Think Dre's insistence to cover as much of Paak's absurd musical range might have hurt the album, it's a bit unfocused and less uniformed than what I hoped for. Nonetheless this has so many head-bobbers and the mixing is absolutely superb, that run from Brother's Keeper to Cheers f---ing rocks!

Yeah not sure how I feel. I definitely think Malibu is his best album, but I'm a sucker for live instrumentation. It also took about 2 months for it to grow on me till I loved it as much as I do now.

Currently I really like half of the songs on the album and the rest are okay. We'll see how it goes

This album is certainly more bombastic than Venice, Malibu and Yes Lawd! I reckon. 2nd half of the album is f---ing amazing
