I don’t dislike it so far. I’m only on episode 3 or 4. The naruto resemblance is very strong though.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Hunter x Hunter had a lot of dragon ball z resemblance and the chimera ant arc was the greatest thing in anime history.

Gonna be trash as long as Pierrot keeps adapting it. A faithful adaptation of the manga by a new studio would probably work out pretty well but the Pierrot adaptation stays bankable so it won’t happen.

Well yes but that's not entirely fair. Nor is it really the reason BC sucks. BC sucks because it's too predictable. The characters are also a bit boring and don't really have much depth past "protect my friends" which wouldn't be so bad if that wasn't the most overused concept in anime. The World itself also isn't that mature and that bs about creating an equal society is too contrived.
And this is someone who reads the manga.

Sword art online is really "meh". It's so "meh" i'm baffled as to why the actual f--- it's so popular. Only good season was the first season of SAO 2.

currently watching overlord 2 and Darling in the Franxx (k--- la k--- x Guren Lagann X Neon Genesis lol) . Given i have slightly more time nowadays does anyone have any recommendations.

I'm also starting made in abyss, and cowboy bepop (holy f--- why have i been neglecting this)

Nah that’s reductive. It’s a coming-of-age series and it’s paced like one, really just depends what you want. A lot of time and effort went into the animation, but that’s to be expected from a Kyoani series. If you’re into dialogue and world building it’s worth your time.
