Apr 27, 2015 Yeah bro, I am a "f---ing annoying c----" and I am "out of touch". Be happy with being the coolest guy of the Internet and all that.
Apr 27, 2015 So you're gonna ignore all the actual questions I asked again? Quick question: do you realize that the negative feedback you consistently get is to help make you a more rational, and howpfully more intelligent, adult? Or do you think we're all just dumb/trolling you? I'm actually curious
Apr 27, 2015 Yo ok @Young Sinatra what @Narsh and co. Are trying to say is that in 15 years of life in a country largely disconnected from the American rap scene, it is very likely that you're accidentally coming from a POV that is less educated compared to them It's not trying to be a d-ck, it's them trying to tell you you're just plain not right. Don't worry, I'm only 17 and I am wrong about a ton of s---. But the faster you accept that and take in what the older folks got to say, the faster you become as intelligent as them
Apr 27, 2015 Also, yes, anyone who's 15 and implies that they know more about hip hop than someone who gets paid to write about it simply because they have Internet is a f---ing annoying c----. And more than likely a moron. Hope that helps
Apr 27, 2015 i am literally paid to listen to and study rap music every day and it'll be years before i've heard everything i want to hear...from the '90s.
Apr 27, 2015 Or he can stay being an annoying c----, change his username, and try to come back as a slightly less annoying c---- with marginally less awful taste/rationale
Apr 27, 2015 Yeah man I'm ignorant af about the 90s to he perfectly honest, and like when friends irl and then people (I think including you actually) in the 90s thread pointed out how I was being, I realized that. Imo, I feel like approaching everything with a decent chance that you could be wrong is the best way to learn more and open your mind to new possibilities
Apr 27, 2015 Wtf it sould only take you some s-----y Internet and a few years AT THE MOST. Smfh they should be hiring @Young Sinatra instead, hollywoods f---in up
Apr 27, 2015 Absolutely, but in this thread in particular is not relevant. We are talking about how unfair Yelawolf is being judged by a lot of critics like Anthony Fantano and how hypocritical are they by not looking at him with other POV like they do with Young Thug. I recognize that my knowledge in the genre is not as good as most fans that live in the U.S.A or which first language is English, but that's for another thread @Narsh Not going to answer you another comment on this thread, I'm done with you. If you need something talk with me in PM and show me if you can actually discuss without using smilies or mediocre insults
Apr 27, 2015 Ya you were being mad dumb in that 90s thread m8 But yeah on topic, there's so much I'm ignorant about when it comes to music or film, despite how qualified I think I am to comment on them in general. I just approach everything knowing that's the case. I'm pretty sure foreign posters like @Peter Parker and @Radeem know more about the history of hip hop than I do, for sure. I don't think I'm as well versed as they are. I'm just decent at logically presenting my points. It's not about where you're from, although that can create hurdles It's just that @Young Sinatra has NEVER showed as much understanding as olorin or radeem or anyone but acts like he knows more than, say, WPG It's r-----ed
Apr 27, 2015 Yeah, like I'm going to do extra work to stop a kid like you from being a kid You should be happy you're getting checked online, now, rather than in real life in the future But keep being you man. Oh and if you want the really straightforward response: You still haven't showed how these critics are being hypocritical. Because they focus on lyrics more for yelawolf? That's not being hypocritical, that's putting things in context. I personally reviewed both albums, was I pandering to black people too?
Apr 27, 2015 How does a white suburban hipster get paid to listen and review Black music? Must be that white privilege that you people on the left always talk about. How come these sites and publications don't hire people from the actual culture to review the music?
Apr 27, 2015 Only thing that I actually agree with Fantano on the review, Best Friend hands down one of the worst tracks, all because Em
Apr 27, 2015 Just because you're incapable of expanding your horizons beyond what people marginalize you into doesn't mean other people are Would you s--- on Hendrix or Obama for taking on fields that were predominantly white?
Apr 27, 2015 So because he's black he isn't a culture vulture? Lmao Pre sure making money or otherwise capitalizing off of a certain subculture when you have no real interest to be a part of it is what a culture vulture is For instance, black hipsters at my school who only listen to s--- like Asking Alexandria and sus that all rap is n---- music are culture vultures. You need to quit with this 12 year old stance on race relations man
Apr 27, 2015 I'm glad you think you know me like that. White hipsters know nothing about the music they write about. If you really want to get Your young and nieve so I'm not even gonna bother going back and forth with you kid
