Jan 25, 2015 Lately I've had the itch to move. Like far away. I've been looking at places in florida and California. Have two friends who are interested as well. Anyone ever make a drastic move like this?
Jan 25, 2015 I'm embarrassed to live in the same city as csw. And I'm trying to move to Arizona with my buddy by the end up the summer @Brennan
Jan 25, 2015 I was lookin at Arizona too. I'm Tryna be like 15 mins from a beach lol I'm tired of philly
Jan 25, 2015 Arizona is pretty nice year round.. although the Phoenix valley is more like 5 hours from a Cali beach
Jan 25, 2015 definitely doing it after i finish school have seen too much f----- up things here, not sure where though
Jan 25, 2015 Moved from Texas to Florida 2 weeks ago. Sold everything I had including my business. We only brought what we could fit in my truck
Jan 25, 2015 Eminem lives in Detroit not LA thats where Dre is. Maybe Zolt Shady could be your roommate in Detroit. Could maybe get a place with a basement too.
Jan 25, 2015 Think you could do it long term? Situation for me is I'd be basically starting from scratch. Like I'd go with 10k, But I'd be taking a step back work wise to take multiple steps forward just with experience In General and then hopefully settle down if this school s--- works out
Jan 25, 2015 absolutely. I've down quiiiiite a bit of traveling in my 20 years and LA is one of my favorite places. it was a situation with my job that I was sort of forced to come back and pick up work back home.
Jan 25, 2015 I moved from Chicago to a suburb of Houston few years back. Pretty big change. If you move anywhere South, you are going to be tagged as a "yankee". Another weird thing is if you settle down in the south and are going to school, and you have a history class. Everyone will say "we lost the Civil War". Its an odd thing to hear if you are from the North. Js. Also Cali is expensive as f---. Just to compensate, minimum wage is like $16 an hour because everything is ridiculously expensive. Arizona is also hot as h--- (like anywhere in the Southern most U.S.) so prepare for 101+ degree weather. Not trynna discourage ya or anythin but just saying. You might miss the snow and all. And since you said you want to be close to beaches Cali obviously has nice beaches but like i said earlier, cost of living is ridiculous. Ive lived in Texas for 4 years now and i can personally tell you the peanut butter colored water of Galveston Beach is the worst beach I've ever been too. So Houston, Texas isn't a great spot for beach locations. South Carolina doesn't seem to bad. It isn't necessarily cross country but you do have Myrtle Beach and the upper regions of South Carolina do see some snowfall. Overall South Carolina has a nice climate too. But its not really cross country. Also Florida has Destin Beach and many more like it but the people that end up in the news there are absolute batshit crazy. Like recently a pet store owner beat an employee with a lizard. Tf? So for your wants I would say your options are: Cali. South Carolina Florida But youd have to deal with high prices in Cali (and earthquakes). South Carolina has no cons I can think of, and Florida has a very interesting group of people (and hurricanes).
Jan 27, 2015 I did a little bit of research with cali and prices and s--- and I don't see notnothing drastic. Housing is up compared to Philly, but utlilites, groceries and stuff like commute were all lower. This was mostly takin from best places.net and another site that I can't rememember. Florida looks like the place to go tho cost wise
