    Weird how its just casual drink thread and alcoholics show up and say how it ruined their life. Its just a weekend fun, if you're drinking everyday you have some other issues

    I used to drink a lot, was out most nights, would think nothing of having 15+ drinks on a night out, once I had over 50 and was wasted for 2 days haha.

    Nowadays though, I have a family to provide for and s--- aint cheap so when I was on holiday in Cyprus I decided to see how long I could go without having any alcohol, that was Summer 2012 and I am still going, I don't miss it at all.

    I haven’t been a drinker for nearly 5 years.

    Used to be a daily drinker and it very nearly ruined my life. The turning point was waking up in a cell facing a charge of arson with intent to endanger life. I didn’t even know what had happened.

    Luckily there was enough time between arrest and trial for me to make some positive steps, something the court considered when sparing me a custodial sentence.

    My life’s gone nowhere but up since that day and alcohol has consequently lost all appeal to me.

    That being said, you’ll rarely find me without a joint in hand :blunt:

    Its possible to meet women without drinking, maybe not easy women if youre looking for some a--- but go to coffee shops, parks, s--- like that. Idk what kind of women youre into but theres plenty of places to look without drinking.
