Sep 4, 2022Kanye. At this point his personal life and erratic behaviour has overshadowed his music, which has also been subpar for years.

Eminem: released 3 of the best hip hop albums of all time after that all the albums were mediocre at best. Today people even criticize his business moves that come off as money grab. The NFTs and a best of album in streaming era. He gets a lot of negative feedback from fans and critics and he gets a lot of passes from his fans and because he still sells goodYeez, DKC, Ordinary Joel and 7 others like this. -

Whether it's because of their music, their antics or both.
I'll start
1) T.I.
Was at the top of the game in 2000s. Dropping some incredible albums like Trap Muzik, King and Paper Trail.
But the music took a huge drop during the 2010s and the weird s--- started coming out. Man getting his daughter's hymen checked to make sure she's still a virgin. The sexual assault allegations, the dumb s--- he says. I never let someone's antics sway me away from their music but he's made it hard to be a fan.
2) Game
Had an incredible launch to his career dropping 2 classic albums and a couple really good albums. But the quality of his music has gone down consistently ever since and every moment this guy opens his mouth he embarrasses himself. The name dropping in his music has gotten old really quickly as well.Modli2, Ordinary Joel, Minato and 6 others like this.Nov 17, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Also Chance the Rapper for sure. I've never seen someone speedrun ruining their career so fast. Fired his manager when he was honest and told him his music wasn't good/ready to release and then hired his coattail-riding brother as a yesman. Released an awful album that was panned by critics and fans alike. Tried to jokingly participate in the discourse and just got s--- on cuz it was clear he was actually mad. Album was so bad that he had to cancel his tour cuz he couldn't even sell tickets to his shows with a 2-for-1 Black Friday deal. Still refuses to listen to criticism and surrounds himself with more yesmen. Has tried to release a bunch of singles since then with zero hype.

yep. his legacy is two songs that people who don't post on section eighty dot com remember as 50 cent songs
I disagree on the weekend tho — he certainly went pop and it's a much diff sound than the original mixtapes, but I'm glad he didn't keep making the same albums over and over even if I haven't been a fan of every single one. I loved Starboy and Dawn FM personally.Ordinary Joel, jankland, Chrollo and 5 others like this.Nov 17, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Eminem is the obvious answer. TI is a good one. Game never had a legacy he just seems bigger to people who are on a Shady Aftermath centric forum.
Drake could have had a really interesting career if he kept progressing with the Take Care/So Far Gone sound but he chose to become a generic pop act instead. Pretty hard to blame him but will always wonder what could have been. Would say the same for The Weeknd too, sadly.asvdawg, DKC, Ordinary Joel and 5 others like this. -
