Jul 9, 2015 i can see it. rappers like skooly and lil silk are cool but they sort sound like young thug clones. and lots of indy rappers on livemixtapes all sound like future or young thug clones. but rappers like father and makonnen got their own sound
Jul 9, 2015 He was certainly influenced by southern rap, especially UGK but it's not like he's trying to hide that. His latest album doesn't sound like a "southern" hip hop album at all to me, neither did his debut album. btw ALLA is pretty much fire from start to finish bless Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye
Jul 9, 2015 The correct word ASAP is looking for is biting, & styles have gotten bitten hard for years. If it was the 90s, they wouldn't have lasted
Jul 10, 2015 that's funny because, like @LasiK said, all Rocky does is bite the southern/trill s---. That's a big part of his style so he should keep these comments to himself
Jul 26, 2015 Give it a few more spins bro, it's a great album. When you get past the "one day listen" is when you start to appreciate the album. Most of the tracks I love are on the back half, but a lot of the people here who wrote it off probably never got that far . Tracks 8 to 15 is an amazing run.
Jul 26, 2015 Rocky doesn't understand regionalism. Probably because he style jacked a handful of sets before one popped off on Tumblr. Have him get Bones on the phone so they can both rehash more Memphis and Houston aesthetics from the 90s. Dude wants attention cause his album was like a bad high school art project. Get some ATL features to push your singles next time. Busy staging riots for his garage band beats music videos instead of making a good album. NYC hip-hop is a creative wasteland and ATL has been changing the musical landscape for a decade now. /rant
Jul 26, 2015 As a native this is funny. n----s are cooking up always. NYC what the f--- is goin' on? "These mothafuckas won't play my song They sayin' that we soft, they sayin' that we fell off They sayin' that these other f---ers better than us, you gotta be kiddin'" We cant relax for a bit?
