it wouldn't bother me as much anymore if Eminem decides to quit rapping, he's gave us his all plus he isn't getting any better IMO. he's still good but everything is a a rehash of his older material. i can see about 1 or 2 more albums coming out before he calls it quits.

Forced how so? The only reasoning I can think of that's behind Recovery is that it was a safe project. After two back to back failed albums with Encore and Relapse, he took a safer route with Recovery. All the concepts in Recovery are pretty generic and even kind of corny in some aspects. With MMLP2 he was trying to make a statement that he's still capable of being the same artist he was before. All logical Eminem fans know that isn't true but that was his "reasoning" behind the project and it pushed him and it brought back some of his older characteristics that once made him so good.

What Eminem would have to do in his next project is announced that it will be his last album.

That would open the door to a lot of collaborations with renowned artists (not artists of SR) and the hypothetical record would have a truth production of Dre.

Eminem has nothing more to say. The only thing he did in 2014 is insulting celebrities ... it's boring to hear the same thing over and over again.

An album with a central theme of his retreat of the hip hop would have more content and substance to their last 3 albums together.

    Yes, that's what I say.

Still capable of being the same artist he was before?, he put survival, the monster, stronger than i was on a mmlp album, & Forced meaning that he knew no matter what he put out fans didn't like anything, so he felt he HAD to revisit those old characteristics & show the fans that ok you don't like anything new obviously i put out, how about if i give you little nostalgia feel & that's when mmlp 2 came into play.

Wasn't Recovery pushed on him? I remember reading Jimmy/Interscope weren't pleased with Relapse 2 and the rumours going around where Relapse 2 was cancelled and a new album would take its place. Then magically his Twitter says no more Relapse 2 and posted about Recovery

I never said he accomplished his goal with MMLP2 but that was his intent. Eminem doesn't have to do anything lol he sells and is praised endlessly by his fans no matter what he puts out. Recovery is generally very well received among his fan base, it's not like Relapse. To him, Recovery was a success hence his line in Guts Over Fear

"I rather make Not Afraid 2 than another We Made You"

I'm not sure where you're getting this idea that Eminem was forced by the reception of his fan base to make MMLP2, that just doesn't make much sense.

Edit: @FreeAgent wouldn't be surprising. I remember @Koolo told us that the record label forced him to put Survival on the MMLP2.

i remember reading a post back when Recovery was about to drop that particular album was made to give Eminem a new fanbase, so he jumped on different sounding beats kind of what alot of these Southern artists jump on and work with Wayne later on. it was mostly true since he then worked with different artists like Drake, Kanye & Wayne later on. Forever was the first song he dropped then all of a sudden he finally had a collaboration with Lil Wayne after.

Ya it had a s--- formula that interscope started following but cold wind blows, talkin 2 myself? going through changes, no love, etc tracks he hasnt matched since and the flow an vocal tone an rapping was closest hes been to his old self. It sounded natural an fluid incomparison to anything off shadyxv or anything post recovery. f--- the poppy feel of it tho..

50 said em never wanted to work with them and that boi-1da added their verses to a leftover b1da relapse verse and a young money beat and leaked the song without shady camp's consent. which explains em saving face by making drop the world and no love. wayne and kanye both stated in separate interviews that em had refused collab offers. then they stupidly admit that they happened to have time to rewrite their verses just in time for the soundtrack to come out.

I'd argue that Bad Guy, Brainless, Baby, Groundhog's Day etc. were better than all those tracks with the exception of Going Through Changes

Obviously he'll never be as good as he used to be. But I still like a lot of his new music. I really enjoyed the BME EP and Shady XV, and Recovery honestly might be my personal favorite album of his.

I mean 2004-2009 consisted of Encore, The Re-Up and Relapse. It's really not that hard to accept lol

i personally do not, but a lot of people think relapse as a whole is better than recovery
