Dec 20, 2015 It's very dominant at the moment, that's undeniable. I used to think it was a trend that wouldn't last long, but it is clearly going to be around for a long time, you're not wrong about that. However, so-called "traditional rap" still has it's place in Hip Hop today and will always be around. It may even become more commercial again one day. The future is unpredictable, anything can happen. Hip Hop, and music in general, has changed dramatically over the last decade or so and we're going to continue to see more major changes as time progresses.
