I didn't think MDBTF was a classic for a long time. However once I got over my hatred for All Of The Lights I was comfortable calling it one. (Even TES and MMLP had the D12 songs...)

Still don't consider MBDTF a personal classic. I can totally see why people call it a classic. But personally it's like a 7.5/10. I seem to be alone in the view that Gorgeous, Power and I'm So Appalled are my favourite tracks on the album.

So Appalled is another song that changed my mind. I didn't like that song until like October of last year. It was on random one day and for whatever reason it just clicked. Great song.

I might've already wrote this in here but: when Relapse first came out I thought it was a huge improvement over Encore. I remember texting my buddies like "Holy s--- this is his best work since the Eminem Show!" I remember my one friend texting me back like "Yea man that song about his mom putting pills in his steak was really intense" Lol. Looking back on it now I think I was just so excited to finally have a new Eminem album for the first time in five years that I forced myself to like it. I now think it's without a doubt his worst album. Way worse than Encore.

cmon b, Encore's lows are way lower and Encore's highs aren't as high as the Relapse highs. I hated Relapse at first, but I think it's really dope after a couple of listens.

I'll back it up for @Bot. Encore had Never Enough, Like Toy Soldiers, Spend Some Time and Encore. All of those songs range from good-great. Relapse had Deja Vu which is arguably the best Eminem song of all-time. MMLP2 had..... nothing. Zero. Not a single listenable song from that piece of s--- album. Every song on that album had a cringey/terrible line on it.

Saying Encore's lows are lower is debatable. Relapse had s--- like Old Times Sake and Must Be The Ganja. Encore's best songs (Toy Soldiers, Spend Some Time, Mockingbird, etc) are better than Relapse's best.

Bad Guy, Rap God, Brainless, So Far..., Rhyme Or Reason, Love Game, the complete Bonus Disc, etc. The only song that I dislike is Stronger Than I Was.

Never Enough is good, no more, no less. Like Toy Soldiers, Spend Some Time and Encore are dope. Big Weenie, Puke, My 1st Single, Rain Man, Just Loose It, a--- Like That, etc. are way worse.

Deja Vu and Beautiful alone are better than the tracks you listed. the worst songs from encore are the worst of Em's whole discography. It's probably right that Eminem wanted to recreate the shock value thing with relapse and he only did it bcus it worked in the past, but I still think that it worked very well on Relapse too.


I feel like the hate towards Em is caused due to his "dramatic" style change (way more technical, different flows, many female hooks which i dont like too much too) & people seem to hate change. I'm not the diehard Eminem fan some people on here think I am. Em's just the rapper who interests me the most nohomo (kendrick being a close #2). I'm not stanning everything he releases and I dislike some things/songs too (i dont think @Koolo for example realized that lmao), but he isn't nearly as bad as most people on here think he is. s.80 might have many "closet" stans tho since the thread for the NA documentary got so many viewers at the same time, but idk.
