Finally got around to playing and beating "Injustice" yesterday, and it's seems pretty obvious that's the route the story will take in the JL movies.

I actually didn't mind this, it was entertaining barring the huge CGI finale. TDKR was a lot better. Think the Justice League films will be a lot better, and Batfleck has apparently already wrote his own film, which will be amazing.

To be honest, I can't say I enjoyed this significantly less than the average superhero movie. I think to some extent critics did have their knives out for this one, likely because of DC's shameless attempt at copying the Marvel formula and for just how gravely serious the film takes itself. However, the movie does begin promisingly enough with a strong opening sequence that cleverly flips the much criticized Man of Steel finale and sets the stage for its superhero clash.

For awhile, the film offers the illusion that it may actually be building up to something. For all of his flaws as a director, Snyder does have an eye for striking nerd visuals (a young Bruce ascending with bats, Superman at the Day of the Dead, etc.) and some of his images here are a welcome reprieve from the distinctly bland Marvel aesthetic (it's flawed vision, but at least it's a vision). The film is also littered with strange flourishes and moments, the very sort of idiosyncrasies that Marvel's assembly line approach predominantly avoids.

The flip side, of course, to this lack of polish is that Batman v Superman really is an absolute mess. It's an interesting one for a little bit, but after setting up its characters and their moral conflicts for more than half of its runtime, the film on a dime instantly jettisons all of it for the sake of an obligatory finale with a dull CGI monster and for pandering fan service and universe building. In the end, it feels less like a climax and more like an elongated trailer. With such a shallow conclusion, it's hard to get too excited about what's coming next, especially when these films are so concerned about the future, they forget about the story being told in the moment.

People tend to forget this is based on The Dark Knight Returns Comic..

I didn't mind the film at all.. I was satisfied for what it was.. I'm highly anticipating Suicide Squad though

If you want to see a similar (real) story done better, I recommend the animated films 'The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2'

It's all a huge set up, they had to do it different from marvel i.e films for each character before the avengers and it all feels a bit rushed, but im still confident for JL and I'm sure both wonder woman and the solo batman will be epic, and suicide squad looks like it'll be a really fun. Also most of the DC animated films are great

I was able to check this out last night. I'm not too big on the comics in terms of reading them but I enjoyed the film. The only thing that would be a negative was the length of the film. Once it got to the action scenes I was very entertained. I enjoyed it for sure, not sure why it's getting as much hate as critics are giving it (maybe because of length as well?).

I thought Affleck played a great Batman. Cavill was great as Superman. I never knew Lex was that nuts unless they're taking him in a new direction. There definitely were some easter eggs in the films for sure in terms of other super heros.

I want to eventually see this for Affleck's Batman. I didn't have any hopes for BvS (as I hated Man Of Steel) but it's still disappointing to see it turn out as bad as I feared. From what I've read, I'm going to hate it.

there's some pretty good quality torrents of it floating around already if you don't want to waste money at the cinema for a movie you might not enjoy.

I think I liked Affleck more than Bale as Batman. Haters gonna hate.

From what I've seen in the trailers, I think I will agree (even if I hate this film). The slickest Batman action and even the brief Bruce scenes were really good.

If nothing else good comes from the DCU, I think solo Batman will be great.

Not only that but Affleck's a bigger guy to. 6'3" while bale is only 5'9"/5'10". Affleck comes off more of that Billionaire playboy style but at the same time smart. He also doesn't have that lozenger style voice Bale used in the suit. He's got a voice synthesizer...but don't worry he doesn't sound like Young Thug or anything.

EDIT: I think people need to take the film more of a superhero theme than Nolan's adaptation of real life. Like of course anyone who fights Superman would be killed. But the suit adaptations and remembering yeah Batman is a man and all but he is also a hero to so idk he can't but overly weak.

saw this at the theater finally, and i don't really know what to say about it

it was just okay for me. liked it about as much as i thought i would... would've liked it better had a lot of key parts not been spoiled by the trailers and had complaints about certain things in it (like Lex) not ruined my opinion about it before i even saw it

That scene with lex putting the jolly rancher in the dudes mouth was one of the most awkward things in a serious movie in awhile
I get what they were trying to accomplish but f---
