Aug 25, 2021 I do hope u guys speak on the actual music and not what they had for breakfast, what event happened on the day they recorded a certain song or how another artist did a similar song 100 years ago Also if either of u give most albums a mostly positive review I dont wanna hear u say "eminem sux" or "kanye sux" again!
Aug 25, 2021 Looking back over them as listed, Recovery is bottom 3 for me. The worst spots of MMLP2 sound like Recovery cuts.
Aug 25, 2021 One of the most overrated albums of all time and certainly the most overrated in his discography. Despite it having a few of his absolute best songs that s----s a slog imo. I wanna skip like every other song tbh. It’s a solid album but there’s way too much fat on there that could be trimmed both in terms of number of songs and length of the songs themselves
Aug 25, 2021 Swapping drips for stimulate would've been a huge improvement also seen someone talk about how if the 8 mile songs somehow fit into tes would've been awesome. I really like tes but I feel like he completely abandoned the style and sound that made him so popular, growing as an artist is good but I feel like this one was so drastic.
Aug 25, 2021 I'm curious to see what you consider fat. The only skippable track on there for me is Drips. That's it. The fact that you have Encore and Relapse so high and talk about an album having too much fat is crazy to me. An album that has songs like Big Weenie and My First single. But you are entitled to your opinion. I'm looking forward to the review of those albums.
Aug 25, 2021 I don’t like: Business Square Dance Say What You Say Soldier When the Music Stops Drips > all those songs to me tbh lol. At least it’s tongue in cheek, the ones I mentioned are so self serious besides Business which I liked when I was younger but I usually skip it now. Half of Encore is horrible. But the situation with Encore is different because half of it he recorded while he was f----- up on pills cuz he was mad a bunch of songs leaked. Those songs on TES as I mentioned are so melodramatic and take themselves too seriously (which side note was my biggest problem with 2010-3017 Em honestly too). Encore isn’t a good album but the half he recorded before he got to deep into pills is great and feels like an actual follow up to TES. There’s def fat to trim on relapse Relapse too, but Relapse scores a lot of points for me because of the musicality of it—there’s a vision behind it, those Dre beats are phenomenal, and everything sounds so crisp and atmospheric. And songs like My Mom, Hello, Deja Vu…they combine Em’s natural humor with his natural honesty and introspection (which again was something missing from from 2010-2017 Em lol). I get why people love TES and I give it a hard time on purpose cuz it makes people engage with me about it lol—but the crux of all this is what I believe for real
Aug 25, 2021 i f---ing love drips obie’s delivery and cadence with that beat is fantastic and it’s the only beat of its kind on that album
Aug 25, 2021 @Donkey Kong Country what do you have against Soldier? Even as someone who doesn’t f--- with Em that’s a good song
