    Even if this was true it doesn't change anything big picture wise, they still kneeled on his neck and let him die. It's gross police negligence/carelessness either way which is the entire f---ing point of this.

    “defunding the police” is not actually a libertarian idea because as a policy goal it includes police money being re-routed to other public services... no one who advocates for it is saying to erase police and replace them with nothing/a private alternative, either of which would be the libertarian angle

    Every single person in this country's views are affected by the media regardless of your political leanings. It's impossible not to be unless you live in a shack in the middle of nowhere with no contact with the outside world whatsoever. It doesn't mean you can't try your best to look at stuff from a variety of different sources (which everyone should do to try and curb your own bias as much as possible) but this stuff is largely subconscious and if you think you're not affected by it you're a fool.
