2016 is a year where we could potentially be introduced to the next two cornerstones of Philadelphia Sports. Which of these two players will impact their respective teams the most? The Eagles mortgaged a large chunk of their future to move up for Wentz and we all know the Sixers were going to take Simmons since the lottery.

As a Philadelphia fan, it's definitely an exciting time for me. Philadelphia has always been a Football first town so I'm more inclined to say Wentz. I don't see Bradford making it through the whole season again and I don't think they're going to try and run Chase Daniel the rest of the games that Bradford doesn't play.

It could be argued that Simmons will make more of an impact because he will be a starter off the bat and will have more chances to show himself.

I mean, in theory, Simmons has a higher ceiling--Wentz should be a good quarterback, but if Simmons can improve his shot, he's a top-ten player in the league in a few years. (That's not a given, but it's possible.) I'm glad I'm not a Sixers fan though, I'd be constantly fretting that we squandered all these prior top picks.

It hasn't been fun these past few years. Especially with Nerlens not even playing the season we drafted him and Embiid still hasn't taken the court. I don't know what they want to do at the PG position but I'm assuming they want to bring a veteran in rather than a rookie judging by all the big men we have taken.

It's getting to be exciting again to be a philly sports fan. The immediate future Simmons will have more of an impact then wentz. After 3+ years who knows tbh, I want to see both of them prosper. Honestly I can see Simmons having the better career. He potentially will have the better team around him and that will help hide his poor shooting until he can improve. If our O line falls apart or wentz struggles to make accurate throws he won't last very long. It's hard to compare, with a quarterback, their flaws will be instantly recognized and scrutinized. With Simmons, if he's putting up 20 with 8-10 assists and some rebounds every night while struggling to s---t the mid range jumper no one will really care because he's still producing.

Definitely Simmons. I haven't talked a lot about Carson Wentz on here, but in case people didn't know, I think he's going to be a bust. Him and Goff both tbh. Ben Simmons does so many things well and is so intelligent that a jumpshot is all he needs to be a future MVP and challenge Rose for the youngest to ever win it.

Simmons, I'm not really sure what to think of Wentz yet. At times he's looked very good, at times he's looked very bad.

He'll be a stud, and will probably be the best all around player on the team, but Joel Embiid will also be an all-star and his whole persona is already loved in Philadelphia as well as league wide among NBA fans. I'm speaking strictly about popularity wise, not necessarily skill

Ahk, yeah I thought you might have neen referring to Embiid. It is a fair point. Tbh personality wise Embiid makes Simmons look like a cardboard cutout if we're bein blunt tbh ha

@Boos is probably right. Simmons main opponent is Embiid if we're talkin about a king of Philly sorta situation. Embiid comes off as a lot more charismatic ready to be a big name celebrity almost whereas to me, Simmons comes off as an actions speak louder than words kinda guy
