Oct 21, 2020 he’s a more interesting writer and a more versatile and modern vocalist, i.e.- he works better over those daringer-type beats that allow for more rambling flows
Oct 22, 2020 This is a pleasant listen after a week but there is something about Hitboy's production on this that just becomes somewhat stale after a few songs. I can pick any song from the album and will probably like it, but listening to them in succession loses it's pop. I had similar feelings on Nas' album but I enjoyed this a lot more. Ultimately, my favorite Griselda records from the year are: 1. From King to a GOD 2. WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE 3. Burden of Proof I like WS only in limited doses which is why WMTS is better to me than Pray for Paris because he has so many features on it, it almost looks like a Westside Gunn curated project rather than a solo thing. All in all I expected more from Benny and it's a decent but forgettable listen to me with the skits being annoying if you replay this a few times although I kinda liked Pain In Da a--- intro. Respect to @SKUXY BANGS for standing so hard behind it lol Still, these guys had such a terrific run these past 2 years and I hope they continue to release quality music.
