Feb 20, 2017 @Cyreides @Other_electronic_fans I currently have Daft Punk, The Bucketheads, S'Express, Prodigy and Snap! in there but I need more Electronica albums. I know of Aphexx Twin and Skrillex but what are some of the best electronica artists (meaning albums that are unique and not just one big song stitched together, it needs to have variety people!) out there that I haven't listened to yet?
Feb 20, 2017 I said I already have them in my collection. Though I do need to listen to their latest album sometime soon.
Feb 20, 2017 honestly tho, really depends on the type of electronic music that you really vibe with if you're into stuff like Burial (which i am definitely not), stuff like Nero may be WAY far and away from the type of electronic music you'll enjoy
Feb 20, 2017 netsky has some good stuff too i know that drum n bass but some of it is electronica theres a few good bands that have music like that also trying to think of the name
Feb 20, 2017 I like all kinds of electronic music. Kind of adversive to dubstep due to it's simplicity and repetitiveness but other than that, I like all kinds.
Feb 20, 2017 Understandable, but I like the term electronica because it refers to types of electronic music, not a singular genre like dubstep or house. I want varied electronic music albums is what I'm trying to say.
Feb 20, 2017 well linkin park has a few pop electronica styled albums if can put up with the tiny bit of rock pendulum was some of my favourite music to blast a few years ago theirs a band called shapeshifter from my country and they have a great album called delta gorillaz and major lazor also come to mind
Feb 20, 2017 dubstep gonna vary wildly tho if ur talkin bout the type that'd be up on beatport top 100 back in like 2011, then i mostly agree, but there's a lot of artists out there doing it like Nero, Zeds Dead, Bassnectar etc., that aren't so typical in their usage of the style in fact, Bassnectar/Zeds Dead might be somethin for u givin their styles a mix of hip hop and dubstep for example that first drop, holy f--- COME AGAIN... there's this tape of there's with rapper Omar Linx from way back when ^very sample based style hip hop production mixed with dubstep and rap also, Zeds Dead remixes from back when they first were getting popular>>>> like and this and where Nero is concerned, a lot of their stuff is dancy, dark, and almost has like an 80s inspired/stadium rock sound at times with their dubstep, they have a very distinct sound, especially to their synths (zeds dead too, and bassnectar at times) they've got a particular aesthetic when it comes to their style in general too, as you can tell from their videos/costumes/sound h---, they've even remixed two of their own songs from their second album to have a purposefully older vibe there's also this, which has a wicked f---ing solo on the end of it which when i went to see them live, they actually did that part live. it was dope
Feb 20, 2017 also, there's obviously skrillex also, korns album the path of totality is a mix of metal/dubstep one of my favorite albums of all time also this is one of my favorite albums of all time as well. there's a different mix of a lot of styles across this album, with some wubs thrown in for good measure, like on this song (which you've probably heard) also, another favorite album is Alison Wonderlands self titled debut ^not necessarily dubstep on that, but electronic for sure
