Aug 11, 2018 They kind of are, what really is "horror" anymore when you can go on liveleak and see some dude get his limbs cut off in real life n s--- Maybe im jaded but i cant think of the last time ive seen something actually horrifying on the big screen maybe for me like a paranormal activity hahahahaha Heriditary had that scene where the dude goes up in flames n maybe 20 years ago that s--- would be pretty spooky, but that s--- was hilarious.
Aug 11, 2018 Honestly read my mind and thats the case with most "horror" movies i go see nowadays. Lmao h--- i enjoyed it follows way more n that is just your basic carpenter-esque slow burn. Hereditary seemed like it tried too hard. There were moments i actually enjoyed, as well as the symbolism throughout. But it tried to shoehorn so much "deep"ness that didnt need to be there as well as gave away its own plot points before they eveb happened lmao

Aug 12, 2018 Can't see Hereditary yet I ordered it but I get it in october 25 on dvd lmao. Annabelle I do have but the thing is.. I always watch horror movies when its dark and in the summer thats not until 10PM here lol. And since I mostly go to sleep around 11pm I barely have time, I mostly watch horrors from september - april lol. Also during weekends I got something to do a lot. In october I usually watch classics , ending w Halloween 1 and 2 on the 31st. Aug 12, 2018 Tbh there are very few movies that actually scared me. Most recent ones are definitely Conjuring 1 and 2. Maybe annabelle 2 too haven't seen it like I said. Autopsy of jane doe did creep me out, same w strangers (but in a different way). Can say the same for Drag Me To h---. Scream, Ring are just great for the stories imo (overall gr8 movies esp scream) and Halloween is a nice mix of scary, great but simple and catching that Halloween holiday vibe PERFECTLY.
