Pluto is a masterpiece and was wildly influential
ah yes, because drake is the picture of masculinity

if you don't listen to rappers because of their clothes you would never have gotten into rap when it started. you sound like an eighth grader.

iiiiiiiiiiii dunno if i agree that his rapping > production on CD. you want to argue optics, ok.. ill bow down. i could see he's underrated as a rapper (ill spar you from quoting numerous articles criticizing his rhymes), but he's great enough to be the #1 slot? im not going to convince you, that's not why you made this thread. i will suggest i think there's a rhetorical hiccup in why kanye is #1 in 2004, but not dre in 92

in short: madvillainy > cd... but kanye (not a better pure rapper) still beats doom... this is as always semantics... and why arguments like this tend to boil down to splitting hairs

sigh. andy, andy, andy. that's not what i said. the beats are better than the raps. the raps are why the album's cited as a turning point for mainstream hip-hop.

    MULTIPLE articles? i'm sorry, i, i...didn't know.

i think there's a critical hiccup in comparing 92 dre to 04 kanye.

But yeah i would have Eminem on 2002 and probably Lupe on 2006 or 2007, YG on 2014, probably not top 2 but quite high, maybe Andre for 1998?

I got other reasons for not being a Thugger dickrider. But I'm good with the Thugger fan base. I don't wanna f--- that up by stating my opinions.

yg is not a bad pick for 2014 at all. very reasonable. lupe is not higher than wayne/kanye/ti. as i said in the op, outkast could win any year they dropped, honestly.

So... The greatest rapper of all time (2000-2002 Eminem) isn't on the list? That's absurd and simply ignorant
