Oct 24, 2017 No disrespect to Buckley, but Dookie is one of the goats, and it's not even Green Day's best album lol. 90's Green Day was something special that got pissed away with the release of American Idiot.
Oct 24, 2017 I really need to dive back into rock. Ive heard alot of these records but it was like 5 years ago
Oct 24, 2017 Obviously look back at the ones mentioned and the ones that are more widely known. However I recommend Fantastic Planet by Failure. Hidden gem of the 90's.
Oct 24, 2017 Even U2 had a very good record this year, this was a really quality year now that I'm looking at the releases. I forgot to mention Gish, to see Smashing Pumpkins start off with a great project like that and then do Siamese Dream immediately after
Oct 24, 2017 The 90’s in general were just stellar tbh. Almost every year had so many great releases.
Oct 24, 2017 this is tough, it's between Nevermind, Use Your Illusion II, and Badmotorfinger, f--- and Ten, Achtung Baby, and Mane Attraction came out in 91. I don't even know now lol.
Oct 24, 2017 I'd say Nevermind is easily the most important album of 91 and probably one of the most influential through the rest of the 90s.
Oct 24, 2017 Some of the most iconic Rap, Rock and R&B music came out in this decade and the beginning steps of mainstream EDM (for better or worse). Rock will always be the gold standard every decade (Alt-Rock in the 90s>>>>) but I really can't state how Rap and R&B really came into their own in this decade, what a time--I'll always be proud to be brought up in the 90s
Oct 24, 2017 its def one of the most influential albums of all time arguably in a horrible way though
