    The only reason anyone is sour on Lost is because people actually think s--- like this.

    I've never met a single other person IRL who didn't hate the ending, coincidentally I've also never met a single other person IRL who actually understood the ending.

    They blatantly say it wasn't purgatory in one of the last scenes but people just ignore that cause they don't wanna use their brain to compute what the show was actually trying to portray

    Season 3 of Lost had the highest highs for me of any television show ever

    Season 4 and 5 of Breaking Bad are immaculate masterpieces

    Season 4 of Dexter is nearly flawless

    Season 6 of GoT too

    Prob Season 3 of Lost when it was being aired. Watching one episode a week was pure torture!

    The island wasn't purgatory that was a theory John Locke came up with if I remember correctly.

    It was eluded to several times in the show and was a popular fan theory. Sadly like 85% or more of ppl who watched the show think that's what the story was in the end when it's not the case

    the main story (surrounding the island and people brought to it during the events of the show) was just a literal event that was propagated and cumulated in a battle of good vs evil....

    the flash sideways story in season 6 was an alternate reality that took place the moment everyone died, so they could move on to the afterlife with the most important people in their life (the people they each met during the events of the island and plane crash). This was more or less stated by Christian in the second to last scene...paraphrasing ("I'm dead?" "Everyone dies kiddo...some before you, some long after") and his whole spiel about moving on with those most important to you. But everyone ignores that for some reason , I guess all the casual viewers checked out of the show once love triangles took a back seat to story progression and time travel and so they just wanted to get the show over with

    Yeah thats how I viewed it for the most part, still I think the ending was sub par
