Aug 8, 2022 h--- of a episode. Jesse was played much better in this by Aaron, than last week. Felt more natural. Liked what they did with Kims character, I think she will have a tragic ending next week. Cheryl was the only gripe I had, show made it obvious that she didn’t care for Howard, so don’t get why they trying to do this grieving, revengeful act with her but what ever. Music and tension in this episode was unreal, directing on this was a masterpiece as was most of the acting. Great episode and gutted there is only one left They have done a good job connecting all the dots and showing the devastation the characters of Walt and Saul caused to other people and that they shouldn’t be remembered as good people from the first seasons we knew them from.
Aug 8, 2022 I get what they doing with the black and white thing with Gene, nothing in his life is good and it’s all bleak now so it’s metaphor to that as his Saul life was the opposite but I find it very jarring that it’s all in black and white to watch. Hope last episode it resorts back to normal but doubt it:
Aug 8, 2022 So glad Gilligan directed the last two episodes for the series. It will be a great finale. As for this episode, perfect all around. Pinkman was much better, loose ends being tied nicely, and once again you hate Saul for being a piece of s---
Aug 9, 2022 Loved this episode, Jimmy being completely disconnected when Kim is in his office was tough to see.
Aug 9, 2022 yes. Seeing him be completely Saul and no Jimmy in that moment. Have a nice life, Kim And Kim breaking down on the bus brilliant
Aug 9, 2022 Kim is an interesting character. Does her feeling "guilty" indicate a tendency towards wanting to be a good person, or wanting to be seen as a good person, even if just in her own eyes - i.e. a tendency to lie. I wonder if instead of quitting her job as a lawyer and (later) confessing her "sins" to Howard's wife, the more honest thing to do would be to accept that she's scum and move on.
Aug 9, 2022 agreed Jesse scene was perfect with Kim...his vocabulary was way better and nuances of season 1
Aug 9, 2022 Loved this week's episode — one of those suspenseful slow burns this show is so good at. Florida Kim's life is the bleakest s--- I've ever seen lol. Biggest thing that bummed me out about this half of the season is how anti-climactic Lalo's death was. I mean I knew he was gonna die, but it sucks that we knew exactly how the showdown between him and Gus was gonna go. Both are such great villains. I was also thinking — I know with Star Wars some people watch them in the order 4, 5, 2, 3, 6 so narratively it preserves the reveal that Darth Vader is Luke's father and then 2/3 are a flashback that explains Vader's backstory (and you skip 1 cuz it sucks). I wonder if there'd be some order you could arrange all the BB/BCS episodes that would preserve the Lalo vs. Gus showdown, if that makes sense? Not that it rly matters cuz we already know what happens, but I'm sure someone online will come up with some crazy order to watch like that lol.
