Dec 3, 2014 d--- man Idk what to do. I've been an Em Stan since I was a kid. But lately have been into Kanye a ton and f--- with him way more than Em. Em has 3 "classic" albums that people point to. Favorite has to be TES, so many good track and don't see how people think it's replay value has diminished. Has Dre beats and a hungry passionate Marshall, classic s---. I also think Recovery is a great album, idk about classic but d--- for me at the time it was one of those albums you just put on and hit play. (Don't listen to it much now) Kanye is just so consistent. I don't even like LR as much as most people. He has one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time with MBDTF that simply can't be topped. When considering all this I'd have to say Kanye has the better discography
Dec 3, 2014 musically you can say Kanye got a better discography, but i grew up on The Eminem Show & MMLP so i got memories of those songs i still look back on today.
Dec 3, 2014 Kanye obviously has the better discography. But by no means does MMLP fall below anything further than Fantasy and CD. MBDTF CD/MMLP
Dec 3, 2014 hate to say it.. but Kanye. I didn't like Yeezus and only a few songs from 808's..but overall Kanye's Discography > Em's.
Dec 4, 2014 The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, The Marshall Mathers LP 2>>>>>>>>>>>>Any Kanye album
Dec 4, 2014 It's a classic to me still play the album and it has my fave song from him and some of my fave songs from him ever. Stronger Than I Was, Headlights, Beautiful Pain, Legacy, So Much Better Along With The Eminem Show it's my fave album of his. And probably has the most catchiest hooks ever s far as any hip hop album ever The bottom half of the album is my fave basically the emotional songs where he put's his heart and soul into the song like the 1s i mentioned e.g. Headlights U simply don't sell as much as The MMLP 2 has sold without people thinking it's a classic or great album everyone will have an opinion but there is millions who think it is this is just a reality. Numbers really do not lie
Dec 4, 2014 I agree with what you said about TES its probably my second favorite hip hop album ever. Behind MBDTF. About the sales, he sold that much off his name alone man. He used to be so big that he's a legend, and an icon now. He's gonna pull those numbers of course
Dec 4, 2014 Yeah of course the name plays a part but if it was just that then all his albums would have sold like The MMLP and TES e.g. sold 10 million in the States alone The MMLP 2 sold because people not all but alot simply think it is either a classic or a great album. They like the lyrics, they find the hooks and the singing really catchy, they digg the flow, the production bangs to them. Then there also is fans who bought the album because they relate and connect to the songs like Stronger Than I Was, Headlights, Beautiful Pain. What made most people go into the store and buy the album or buy it on I-Tunes? a song like Stronger Than I Was these kinda songs are why he sells as much as he has Props on TES being ya second fave album ever though broski. That imo is the greatest album ever made
Dec 4, 2014 I stopped smoking weed and have realized Kanye's is better lol. However, Eminem has more timeless music to me. If that makes any sense.
Dec 4, 2014 Eminem is the rap god. Don't just look at albums, look at Eminem's work with other rappers as well. Name a Kanye verse that has been talked about as much as Renegade. Name a Kanye song that gets the praise Stan does. Show me a Kanye verse than can compare to patiently waiting, American Psycho or Love Me.
