Biggie's music has certainly aged better over the years. I appreciate 2pac's politically invested music but like you said it can be a chore to listen to at times and I think that's a valid point to bring up. That's why I said diversity is what really separates the two. Biggie made songs for literally every setting you can think of. 2pac primarily stayed in one lane, yeah he had his radio hits here and there with Dre and what not but he was never as diverse as BIG was.

Too much Biggie fans in here. It's a one sided argument so no point in arguing.

Honestly i see no problem prefering either artist, just never found Biggie's music all that appealing in comparision.

I prefer really weird wavy new s--- and most "essentials" are kind of the opposite of what I'm looking for but i can assure you I've given at least a cursory glance at both their catalogues

d---, Ordinary Joel has gotten a lot more gangsta since he became a mod. It's like he moved out to the west coast and started pretending he's from there

Can't overlook Pac's influence/legacy on the genre, so many artists have tried emulating his persona. But as far as their respective work goes Biggie's albums take the cake. Ready To Die and Life After Death are so interesting and well-crafted, you will always find those near the top of any list. Both artists have a incredible catalogue of songs but I think I just prefer the smooth & clever style that personified Biggie.

Both of them are great. I still have some Tupac s--- to go through, like Strictly 4 My n----s, Better Dayz, Still I Rise & R U Still Down

Tonshor's arguments revolves around the respective artist's highs. Pac would obviously win as his catalog of songs is like 3 or 4x bigger than Biggie's and as a result Pac would have a higher chance of having top-tier songs compared to Biggie's.

The rest of the thread is comparing two albums for each artist. For which Biggie wins easily.

Get on the same page people.

I barely listen to either. I listened to all of pacs albums over the last few months and heard bigs like 3 years ago and hardly revisit them, I'm not particularly invested in the most over saturated rappers the genre has to offer. But objectively bigs content output was all of the same or higher quality than pacs, and that's facts. You can like pac more and appreciate his direction moreso than what biggie was aiming for no one's stopping you but the discussion was who's better not who does tonshor prefer

Influence/legacy is a different debate/discussion to have. We're specifically talking about who's the better artist here.

Tonshor seems to think that having more great music is better than having more amazing music. Not that Tupac hasn't made amazing music, it's just Biggie's entire career, nearly every track he's ever been on /made, has been amazing.
