Pointless post. It's not fact, it's opinion and It's arguable. Pac is definitely better imo.

    a+ for the effort.

Well I think you're a nice person with a bad opinion!

I really have no idea how to act when GRS isn't derailing. It's ruining my mojo

Even if 2pac's top 10 best songs were better than BIG's top 10 best (I honestly don't know who's top 10 would be better) I really don't think that would prove much of anything. You're leaving out the factor of consistency which is key when comparing artists.

Is it really that far off to throw in the mix? We can discuss each artists strengths & weaknesses but there are honestly equal arguments in that regard. I don't think Pac could flow on the mic as effortlessly as Biggie could but you will never hear the same raw emotion and passion from Big that made Pac so special.

This debate is always so similar to Jay Z vs Nas.

They're both such completely different artists, that the fans of either one will ALWAYS find the opposite rapper to be less impressive.

The fact is, both were elite in their time period for different reasons.

I understand, much like Nas/Jay, that they beefed, and it naturally created a divide in fanbases, but I thought by now people would get over that and realize the genius of both artists.

I swear I interchange them constantly, depending on my mood.

Ready to Die and Me Against The World are the two best projects of both though. Ready to Die is the best overall though.

Big's voice gets more depressed and "exposed" in Suicidal Thoughts, for example. I think he's very versatile, but it's more subtle because Biggie's voice is so unique, and low.

I think it is. I mean Lil Wayne has been more influential to this genre than Slug but I still think Slug is a much better artist than Lil Wayne. And that's simply because Slug has not only put out more quality music than Wayne but is much more consistent. I think bringing in legacy/influence into debates like this is a slippery slope and can be very misleading.

n----s Bleed is so overlooked as one of Biggie's best songs, by the way.

Honestly he was the perfect MC in every way I can think of. Not to mention his attention into detail when it comes to story-telling is almost unmatched.
