Feb 2, 2017 That Hitler/Jordan bit reminded me of something Louis CK would do. It was one of the best bits I've seen from him. Had me dying.
Feb 2, 2017 the gorilla bit was the best. there was alot of george carlin i saw in him from this one.
Feb 3, 2017 I know what I'm watching tonight, been waiting ages for some new Bill Burr. If Jim Jefferies announces a new show now I'd probably do a little dance.
Feb 3, 2017 dude 100% they were so disengaged - it was bizarre. maybe thats why he seemed off. i def didnt laugh nearly as much besides like, the thing about McDonalds. and i agree -- the pacing of the bits seemed off too. like he was padding kinda. its a fine special, but nowhere near his best or even neal brennans recent netflix show
Feb 3, 2017 Neal Brennan's was miles ahead of this I shouldn't say that yet...I had to turn this off early, my wife was falling asleep. We will finish this weekend. But that really tells you all you need to know - these bits really just don't land like Burr's material usually does. The material is weaker to begin with, and he doesn't sell it as well as he typically does. So far, pretty disappointed
Feb 3, 2017 tbh we only watched the first half as well. kt got bored....... but yeah Brennan's show was amazing. I saw him in Cambridge a cpl years ago and he was phenomenal. @Worm yeah theres certain parts that flirt with pretension + he seems VERY f----- up irl. it almost doesnt work tonally but i think he actually pulls it off nicely
Feb 3, 2017 Some of those bits dragged. Joe Rogan's last special was better than this, and I'm not a fan of Rogan's standup (his podcast is cool tho).
