Mar 25, 2017 Ryan is the one that had 7 years to come up with a good healthcare proposal. Trump came in and trusted that Ryan had the proposal ready. Ryan let Trump down. Trump is trying to be a good president.
Mar 26, 2017 Trumps supposed to verify everything, regardless if he trusts Ryan or not. its a healthcare proposal. both are hella esponsible.
Mar 26, 2017 I guess. But I think Trump took a bullet to his credibility on behalf of the American people. He purposefully met with the truckers on the day of the healthcare bill to make people think he's incompetent.
Mar 26, 2017 Trump signed off on Ryan's bill -- he didn't have to. Trump promised better healthcare and quick repeal of Obamacare. Neither of those things are going to happen (thankfully because Ryan's bill was atrocious). This is on trump just as much as it is on Ryan.
Mar 26, 2017 Ryan had 7 years to create a bill that would pass. Trump had one and a half years. This is more on Ryan.
Mar 26, 2017 Yesterday Trump said: “You've all heard my speeches, I never said ‘repeal it and replace it within 64 days.’ I have a long time. But I want to have a great health care bill and plan—and we will and it will happen.” I would like to provide some excerpts from past statements about this very subject. “We’re going to end, terminate, repeal Obamacare and replace it with something really, really great that works. That works.” [New Hampshire, 9/17/15] “We are going to repeal Obamacare and replace it with something much better, much better much better.” [Waterloo, IA, 10/7/15] “We’re gonna repeal Obamacare.” [Las Vegas, NV, 10/8/15] “We are going to repeal and replace Obamacare which is a disaster.” [Norcross, GA, 10/10/15] “We’re going to terminate Obamacare. We’re going to terminate it, it’s going to be terminated, it’s going to be replaced with something much better and something much less expensive for you and for the country.” [Burlington, IA, 10/21/15] “Someone said what’s the first thing you’re going to do? Well we’re going to work immediately on repealing Obamacare.” [Sioux City, IA, 10/27/15] “I would work immediately on Obamacare repeal and replace, and we would do something terrific there.” [FOX, 11/3/15] “… the repeal of Obamacare and replacing it with something so much better. So we will repeal.” [Aiken, SC, 12/12/15] “Our health care is a horror show. Obamacare, we’re going to repeal it and replace it.” [North Charleston, SC, 1/14/16] “Everybody in here, many of you know me, from day one I’ve been talking about we’re going to repeal and replace Obamacare from day one, we’re going to do it. If you remember, so important, from day one I’ve been saying, repeal and replace Obamacare.” [Milford, NH, 2/2/16] “I think Obamacare is a very big issue. I see it, we are going to repeal it or replace it with something much better and much less expensive. We have a lot of different things we are going to do.” [FOX, 2/10/16] “We’re going to absolutely terminate and repeal we’re going to repeal ‘Obamacare.’ Has to be repealed.” [FOX, 2/11/15] “But he’ll take something like Obamacare where I’m totally and absolutely, you know, going to repeal and replace Obamacare from its inception and he’ll say that I love Obamacare, which is so ridiculous.” [CNN, 2/15/16] “Look, I want we’re going to repeal and replace Obamacare. Obamacare is a total and complete disaster. It’s going to be gone. We’re going to come up with a great health care plan, whether it’s health care savings accounts, we have a lot of different things.” [West Palm Beach, FL, 2/21/16] “We’re going to win with Obamacare we’re getting rid of it, we’re repealing, it replacing it.” [Columbus, OH, 3/1/16] When asked in January whether the ACA would coincide with HHS Director Price’s appointment, Trump said: “It will be essentially simultaneously. The same day or the same week ... could be the same hour." Also in January, Trump said, “on day one of my Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare.” Oh yeah and he said this too: “We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump said. “There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.” People covered under the law “can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better.”
Mar 26, 2017 Again, Trump endorsed that very bill. He supported it completely. The GOP looks stupid for not having a repeal plan already in tact after 7 years but Trump looks like even more of a dumb a--- for signing on. Now, he won't be able to accomplish one of his biggest campaign promises.
Mar 26, 2017 If the Republicans gave a f--- they wouldn"y have obstructed for 7 years and helped fix and tweek the ACA to make it work.
Mar 26, 2017 Those quotes start from 2015. Ryan started from 2010. Ryan had 7 years. Trump had 1.5 years, during which he was campaigning and didn't have time to look at the details.
Mar 26, 2017 He will be able to. He will fire Ryan and Rand Paul will become the speaker of the house and get it done.
Mar 26, 2017 The huge tax break for the rich that was in Trumpcare was a lynchpin for his tax reform plan... That's why Trump needed to pass this first.
Mar 26, 2017 Tax break for the rich was Ryan's idea. Trump has said he wants to slightly increase taxes to the rich.
