Feb 3, 2017 Yes, because think about it - the Bears absolutely need a QB, that is their #1 priority this off-season. If they are even thinking about drafting a QB at #3, why wouldn't you just trade the pick for a 25 year old, with 3 years NFL exp, a couple starts, & a guy who's been under the tutelage of Brady & Bill over a dude with nothing lol. I feel like it makes too much sense. And sure, maybe you take Allen or Garrett at 3, but then where do you get your QB? the 2nd round? not in this draft, its pretty thin. The Bears are in a weird situation, they are in a rebuild mode - but at the same time, they are also in a win now mode because if Fox and Co. don't produce or show progress, they're gone and it's on to the next. I'd also be happy with them signing Tyrod and taking someone in the 2nd - but I heard rumors that the Bears top priority this off-season is to acquire Jimmy. Also, I heard an interesting question/theory on the radio and I want to hear your opinion on it - If you had the #3 pick, and there was a QB in that particular draft who would end up being an exact replica of Alex Smith (game manager, etc.) would you take him? I would.
Feb 3, 2017 You're the first non Pats fan I've seen who said they'd give up a first rounder. I honestly think Bill would take your second rounder, which would be the 35th pick, which Bill loves those picks because they're mostly first round talent at better value. HR usually doesn't like top 10, in case he can't trade down. But, as a fan, I'd LOVE the third or first overall pick lol
Feb 3, 2017 Just saw the Alex Smith question. Yeah I'd do that. Alex Smith is solid. But, then the Bears, or Browns really need to hit on a bunch of their picks for the next few years.
Feb 3, 2017 @Fitzy My Vikes don't have a 1st rounder this year but if they did I'd definitely give it up for Jimmy G, I mean we gave up a 1st and 4th for Bradford...need a good young QB to build around and doesn't seem Teddy will be that guy unfortunately.
Feb 3, 2017 What happened to Teddy is so d--- sad as a sports fan. The guy was coming into his own and the team loved him. I hope he can come back to full strength in 2018. Patriots had it all fall into place for them with Garoppolo. He got to put an audition tape out there for teams before his contract year and a weak QB class this year. Along with the Vikings setting the market with their trade for Bradford, I can see a team like the bears trading their #3 pick for him. It makes sense because he would be the top QB in the draft and would go in that range anyways.
Feb 7, 2017 Bill Belichick 51% Brady 49% Virtually it's equal but I give it to Bill by a hair cause he's the coach. He's in charge of all the s--- behind the scenes.
Feb 8, 2017 @Smitty it looks like you're right. I keep hearing that the Bears are gonna go all in for Jimmy G. I'm gonna miss him.
Feb 9, 2017 tricky question...ill take the player, he still needs to be the one who performs under pressure...Brady, Montana, Jordan, Kobe, Ronaldo, Messi, Gretsky...Phil Jackson would not be the same if it wasn't for Jordan/Kobe/Shaq I honestly think Belichek with sub-par QB would not be able to do the same
